Holy Spirit or Paraclete

Muffled

Jesus in me
Holy Spirit ;
Matt 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Paraclete:
Joh 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth...

Translated from the Greek Paraclete

Mat calls it a name but in reality it is two titles and a description. The actual name of the Father is Yahweh. The actual name of the son is Jesus and Holy Spirit is what God is.

If one considers a name as a reflection of what He is or does then Jesus as God saves is quite appropriate but we do not find that in the Trinity title. Paraclete does tell us what he Is and does. He is the one called alongside to help us.

Consider the term Paralegal. That person is an assistant to a Lawyer.
Consider the word parachute. It is alongside the person to assist him safely to the ground.
Consider the word paraglider. It is alongside to assist a person in gliding.

The way I understand it is he says "another" because at that time he was their helper in physical form. But then he would be bodily in heaven but send the holy Spirit(his own Spirit) to them.

Perhaps the authority of the church vs the authority of the spirit?
John to me seems the mystic.

Deut 33:26 “There is none like God, O Jeshurun, who rides through the heavens to your help, through the skies in his majesty.

I agree that Jesus is a help and so is the Father but the para means alongside and it is He who helps us on the inside where we think and feel.

Considering Matthew was a bean counter, I believe John has more credibility. At least fishing can be a spiritual experience.

I believe the church is made of people and they tend to pick what they like. I tend to view things more logically.
