Holy Weird Gothic Babe, Bulgaria!

Bulgaria's Eurovision entry this year is fabulous, weird, and very, very Balkan.

I think you have to imagine yourself at an overcrowded, dark nightclub in the Balkans to truly appreciate this one. ;) A few dozen shots of vodka and a few thousand people dancing the night away go perfectly with this tune.

Congratulations, Bulgaria. I'm truly, honestly impressed - and I enjoy the song!

I can't believe that the language she's singing is at least as close to Macedonian as Croatian, Bosnian, and Serbian are to each other. The high nasal tone is something I associate with Hungarians, I've not heard much Bulgarian music.

Hehe. Though I doubt I would attend one of her concerts, it wasn't all that bad really. Interesting, albeit a bit too nasal for my tastes. It is certainly a cut above the types that rely on "shakin' their booties" to overcome their clear lack of genuine artistry.

Oh, don't worry - Bulgaria has trashy singers you'll love as well, hahaha.

This is Posledna Vecher (Last night - I can understand the title because it's almost the same as Bosnian, [SIZE=-1]Posljednje veče). Gergana is a Bulgarian Turk as far as I know...
