He wasn't hiding his humor. Specifically in that case. At that time. The same with racism. Or like Deliverance. Which suggests only backwater, stump jumping jibber speakers could play the banjo or squeal like a pig. City folk love to do those things as well, apparently.

When I was born where I was born you could go to jail for going to a place known to be a homosexual gathering place. They would put your name in the paper, that sort of thing. Now the tables have turned. Metaphorically speaking.

What a coincidence i was born in a place like that to, the United States.

That kind of persecution isn't put up with (much) anymore but the tables haven't turned. Haters and homophobes aren't imprisoned just because they hate.

The only exception is anyone who would infringe upon the rights of another's life, liberty, horse or property. Not specific to specialized groups but to individuals. If I, as an adult, want to be homophobic in the privacy of my own bedroom with an informed consensual or imaginary partner then what business is it of anyone else? Same with everything. Morality is a whim, here today, gone tomorrow. Like science. If the line in the sand is drawn by a well-trained horse or the horse brained masses is of little significance to me. This is a joke. What's the latest moral fashion or fake cause?

As someone who's ambidextrous I have gotten into some arguments, especially at work, with wankers who think it's wrong of me to use my left hand.
Yes, left handedness should absolutely be accepted and it should be equally acceptable to call out people who have an issue with it.
It's the same with homosexuals. They harm no one and if you have a problem with it it is entirely on you.
