Very interesting. Quite a lot of animal species have been observed to form homosexual relations.

Where the perception points this out. I am not quick to agree of it as a truth.
It is well known that animals who fail to breed & perpetuate a spieces are destined to not continue. While bonding is a form of behavior we relate to in our way it may not be there to establish a sexual preference, but, a survival skill. It is well documented that bands of male horses exist. They are not deminstrating sexual preference ; Nor, are they trying to mate. The act that looks like mateing is a primal urge melded with a domanant display to call on order. It is a formation due to more males than females and there for survival only.
While the albatrose is living in a structure where if there are not enough males they are willing to share it is great to keep the deversity of the gene poll maintained!
I am not disputeing the the author of the article "believed" he was seeing it in how he percieved!
He is not without the facts-just not likely to have me support him in his objectivity!

That's quite the feat of mental gymnastics there.

"The findings indicate that, even in birds, the drive to find a mate is far more complicated than simply the need to reproduce."

Perverts.

The article didn't say that the homosexual pairs having sex. They bond, they most probably love each other ... but no sexual intercourse involved.

In many religions that forbid homosexuality, a Man loving (without sex) another Man is okay.

so what its wrong only if a gay guy has sex with his bf ?

Sorry i think i misread your question. As far as i know, any religion that opposes homosexuality does not oppose a man loving another man (correct me if i'm wrong). they just oppose the sexual intercourse between them.

We are encouraged to love everyone. man, women and children. A father who loves his son isn't homosexual unless it involves sexual intercourse. A father can kiss his son, hug his son, bond with his son much like a gay couple does but it is not called homosexual.

Homosexuality and bisexuality exists in all multi-celled species intelligent from insects to primates.

Homophobia on the other hand exists in only one.
