One of the more obvious reasons could be that unless the majority of the genes (in the plural because I'm betting any genetic component is polyphyletic) associated with homosexuality are homozygous for an individual the result is beneficial.

This seems to be the case with most mainstream political thought, though especially what is fed to the masses in the modern "conservative" movement. That's Stephen Colbert's whole act, which for a while was regularly mistakenly thought to not be an act by a lot of would-be "conservatives."

Then how come "homos" haven't caused the extinction of the human race yet? They've been around for thousands of years - in fact for as long as humanity. Homosexuals in no way leads to extinctions.

Your arguement is disproved due to mutations. Natural has mutates and if the natural evolution is geared to continuance as is proved by time then the obvious conclusion is that all you homos out there are a perversion of the natural.
