With the President of the United States daily insulting Americans for whatever reason happens to please him, calling so many people vile names, casting aspersions every which way, and with so much impunity, is this where we can expect the nation to go?

Anybody, and I mean anybody, who thinks that this is going to MAGA is absolutely daft.

Why won't decent Americans stand up and tell this foul-mouthed troll one or two of the rules that we here on these forums obey? How can America be "great," or even anything but completely ignoble, if you can't learn to treat your own folks with the tiniest modicum of respect, and if you can't presume to teach your President that that's what you all expect of the holder of his high post?

When he called Ms. Daniels "Horseface", my first thought was "well, you had sex with her, what does that say about you?" Then someone else pointed out "not only did he have sex with her, he paid $65 a minute for the privilege" so really, anything he says about her being unattractive is instantly far more demeaning to him.

Or, and I am not seriously proposing this, the Democrats could play the same game. Just think of the fun that could be had at the expense of the Orange skinned one. The nicknames from Stormy's description of his unit alone would end up with endless LOL's.

As I recall, there was one, maybe even two people, on earth who tried to destroy not only Obama, but his wife. The Obamas both handled those attacks with dignity and even treated their attackers with a dignity they did not deserve. Such is class and quality. Quite a contrast with the current president.

And yes, I do believe a president -- any president -- should be held to a higher standard of decorum and dignity than one typically holds a cockroach.

It is the fact that the best he can do is call people names. That's not adult; it's what you do at junior school.
Mature, intelligent adults use fact to insult their opponents. Trump seems not to be able to do that.
