My oldest son runs up to her when he was about 10 or so. He's always been a bit underweight. "Hey! Hey! I need you to tell me how to get fat!" He was very urgent... She stopped for a second, and said "Potato chips and ramen noodles did it for me! Good luck to you!"

Kids. I remember my son's first encounter with a 'little person' (achondroplasia) . He stared rather rudely, but he was only 4 or 5. It was at a bank, and she was at the next teller over. Back in the car, he said, "Appa (Daddy), that lady had no body." Apparently her head and feet caught his attention. The fact he was taller than her struck him too, I bet. She smiled back at him. So too with different races, heights, and a host of other things, with children.
