How can YHWH be the FATHER?

A bet without a stake can happen when two people make a prediction or a wager purely for the satisfaction of being right. For example:

Two friends, Alex and Sam, are discussing who will win a local soccer game. Alex says Team A will win, while Sam believes Team B will come out on top. They don't wager any money, favors, or tangible stakes—they just want to see who’s right. Each is expressing confidence in something that isn't certain. The payoff is being publicly right, and the risk is being publicly wrong. My understanding is that it is these two elements (prediction and risk) that mean it is a true bet.
But God had no risk, he knew perfectly well how it will go. I believe He allowed it to happen, because He knew Job can stand it and that by letting it all happen, we can all see that God knows better than Satan, who is evil torturer.
It doesn't have to. It describes one.
I disagree with that.
This is what textual critics and analysts have determined....
Ok, I reject their opinion, because I think it is not reasonable and it is not well supported.

You are trying to make a creative story, a myth, apply to reality, and by doing so, you are missing the very point of the text. Whoever lost the bet would look bad, they would be publicly wrong. And that makes it a bet.

Jesus in me
The very fact that your Christian texts say that the old covenant is abrogated and that you are under a new covenant MEANS that the two are incompatible.
I do not believe that. I believe the grace of God fulfills the law. So that continuity exists. What is incompatible is trying to keep the law in ones own strength when grace is available.

I appreciate the fact that you have these beliefs. I'm really not interested in trying to change your mind. I'm simply sharing my own perspective, which is that this "gospel of grace" conflicts with the entire essence of the Tanakh.
