How cold is it where you are?

'Bout the same in Austin. Maybe a little chiller.

To the people colding about the cold and humidity... I think I'd take that over cold and dry. Tired of my entire face getting chapped.

Yeah, when its dry it tends to make ones nose bleed too.The cold and humid is much nicer.

It got down into the low 20's here in New Orleans. Power went off at 3am and it was in the 40's inside when I got up. Got the heater cranked full blast but it's struggling to get past 60.

Where, might I ask? Most of my cousins there live in Skane and a rural area just north of Stockholm.

Getting "chapped" in the face.....is that something about those abbreviated leather pants-like things?

Wai...what? That is freaking cold!

It is about 35C here. And we expect 40C for tomorrow. Sometimes it feels like I am walking on a pan...
I'd trade with you in a second! It's -22C here. Walk outside and it feels like your face is being stabbed with a thousand tiny needles.

And according to that list, neither of you will ever see a really hot day....something over 130F.
I'm quite happy with my 113F peak.

Enjoy your really hot day!

I once rigged out a 13,000# steam engine out of a little concrete building sitting in an old air field in Miami FL in July. It was crowded with the engine, parts, & refrigerators for their (Gold Coast Railway Museum) food concession. Between the relentless sun & the refrigeration equipment dumping heat into the room, I spend 4 days working in 140F heat. That was very tiring.
113F....a walk in a park with a cool breeze!

I got back from my walk about an hour ago in 5 degree weather, but what was pretty brutal was not so much the temperature as the wind, as we have it at roughly around 15-25 mph here. The Inuit, who do know something about cold, more fear the wind than the actual temperature.

This seems to be turning into the "tough man thread".

ps: I am, of course, tougher than you.

I've no doubt you're tougher than I am. After 4 days in that oven, I had trouble doing basic arithmetic...more trouble than usual.

F**k the wind. I hate it.

BTW, does anyone know the difference between "kinky" and "perverted"?

"Kinky" is doing it with a feather; "perverted" is doing it with the whole chicken.
