Oh lord I was a completely different person then. Overwhelming, unbearable, pessimistic, insecure, shy, depressed, indecisive and al lthat fun stuff. Oh and thinner lol.

SCIENCE!....claims you are the person you are....and have been so since two years of age.

The bulk of what you call yourself is no more than overlays of learned responses.

'YOU' have been negotiating your existence from the time you learned the word 'no'.

You learned your name shortly after that.

Hmm... let's see.

I'm significantly more accepting, outgoing, and sociable than I was 10 years ago. More laid back and down to earth. Wiser and more responsible, maybe.

10 years ago I was a teenager so I was angrier, hornier, more awkward, more emotional and more insecure.
I would also have either been a Christian in the midst of losing faith or a flat out atheist, I can't remember precisely when that happened but it was in my teens.
Physically I had longer hair, no tattoos and more of a belly. I also dressed more goth than I do now and had a much narrower taste in music.
Finally I could only ever sneak the occasional can of lager back then, now I can have as much as my liver allows ;)

Basically It's much more fun being an adult than a teen.

10 years ago I was just about to turn 20.

I was naggy, clingy, possessive, insecure, and terribly hormonal. I was judgemental, critical and opinionated. I was also recklessly passionate, more extroverted, and had a lot more friends.

I was a devotee of Hekate and a Neo-Pagan.

Now I'm much more easy going, preferring to gently try and steer my canoe through the river of life instead of frantically slapping the waves demanding they go a different direction. I've been the clinger and clingee in two significant relationships and feel that's taught me a lot about life and love.

I'm more introverted now.

Qualities that are the same: optimism, up-beat can-do attitude, start things and rarely finish them, generally undisciplined, and as forgetful as ever.

In fact moment to moment. I seek out new things constantly. I am always challenging my perspectives.

This has been true of me as long as I can remember so it is my only constant. 10 years ago I was very different then I am today and I am happier for it.
