How do they react? Curious ^ ^

I am wondering about the RF members who have partners and kids, especially those who participate here frequently. Does spending time here bother your partner?

Being single should be no big problem, you sit in your room and participate all the time you want, usually there is no other person expecting you to spend your time with instead of being preoccupied by a virtual world!!

I live in a fairly isolated rural setting, wife and one of three kids still at home, in the evenings my wife settles in to watch ‘forensic’ Cop shows, my daughter studies, no one else about to play with...so I go online and talk to folk around the planet.

I’m a Nerd...I think the Net is Gods gift to humanity...a great and wonderful tool for learning, understanding, being challenged by the thoughts/beliefs of others.

Does my partner object that I "spend my time being preoccupied by a virtual world"?....No.....She is glad I am not in the lounge room protesting- "Why are we watching YET ANOTHER FORENSIC AUTOPSY!?...this is >not< entertainment"!:faint:

My kids?....They stopped being fun when they got too old to build sandcastles with me anymore.

They think I'm 'quaint' and 'silly' because I probably converse with more people online than off...and they tell me- "Virtual friends arn't real".....

I say- "Hey...None of the people I know online ever try to borrow my money or my lawn mower....that's 'real' enough for me"!:)
All the best.

Everthing is fair in love and war. :)

So, Even ... Such beings who can listen the priase of my beloved, not one minitue, or an hour, or one night, or one week, or one month, or one year.... I can spend the whole life with him/her.

But that-body will miss me a lot, if inbetween my beloved came to take me along with him. :D

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
My husband gets a little pouty sometimes if I get off on a tangent in here and start researching, typing, growling, exclaiming, laughing, etc. while I'm staring at my laptop screen for hours. Actually, can't say that I blame him. I am a football widow for part of the year.

Anyway, he works out of town a lot so when he's gone I am in here quite a bit. But when he's home, I limit my time here to early morning hours so we can spend our evenings together.

Real life is much more important than RF life. It's tempting to flip around in here for hours but...besides the fact that my butt would spread like a pancake on a griddle, I'd probably have a pretty bad marriage!

I live a couple of hundred miles away from my partner and daughter, so I can spend as much time as I want here. When we are together for a few weeks in the year, then I don't visit RF at all.

Usually when I'm on RF, he's playing games. So it's all good. We don't have kids and we have a fairly simple lifestyle so we have quite a bit of free time.

Plus when I am on RF, I'm usually multi-tasking. Rather than posting continuously, I just kind of leave it up in my browser and go do other stuff as well, both online and offline, and then come back from time to time to post and read. So I cook dinner, eat with him, sometimes we'll watch a movie at night, etc.

Sometimes I have this situation though:
