How do you nourish your soul?

I do it with regular meditation & reading & writing poetry. How about you?

Could also mention contemplation of the following:

Wonder & curiosity & compassion & enthusiasm & joy & life & love & laughter & inspiration & imagination & kindness & gratitude & surprise & discovery & ideas & enjoyment of sport & music & literature & poetry & puzzles & mystery ...

Enjoy your day!

Our souls are nourished by day to day living. Some folks experience joy, some not, but souls are nourished. I wish I could tell you to what end.

Hmm. Well. I love art. But nowadays for a year so far I jog every morning. Then I walk around the neighborhood outside of two about two miles from where I live. There is a park and trail out where I have the illusion of being anywhere but home. Benches. Laterns. Looks like a Charlie Chaplin scene.

I walk in complete silence. Then going back home I started listening to Dharma talks, get something to eat, and after the two hour or so vacation I go home and snap the keys of my keyboard. I love poetry but dont write much. Ive been sketching for months now basically dreams I have and stories stuck in my head. Now I need to upgrade on pencils and paper while I perfect my shapes.

As long as I express myself, I am nourshing my soul. That, and as one Dharma talk mentioned, instead of experience gratitude it helps me BE gratitude. With memory and energy and enough sleep, I can get to that point of Just Being.

I could give two answers to the OP. The first is "any way I can" and that includes music, meditation, watching birds, breathing fresh air and so forth.

The second answer, and probably the best one, is related to service. There is no particular act that I would label as how I bring service to life. It could be a card to a sick person, sorting clothes to be given to the poor, complimenting a friend. To me it's about saying "yes" as much as I can to opportunities that, as it were, knock on my door.
