How does God Talk to Us?

"If God spoke Chinese only, and spoke to me, I would understand something is being said, but would get little to no benefit from hearing it. I don't speak Chinese."

"Trying to understand speech through modern conventional wisdom alienates us from a million other ways communication takes place."

As I thought on these quotes recently, it dawned on me like a weight falling from the sky right on my head, that God does speak to us all the time.

I then began to wonder if I'd been expecting it to be in my native tongue this whole time, missing out on all the wonderful things God has to say to us, but in a different way.

When a baby smiles at us, when a stranger does a kind act, when someone we love passes away, we all feel deeply emotional thoughts. Yet we know God is Love, right? So, when the baby smiles at us, we experience Love, we experience God. When a stranger does a kind act, we pause to appreciate the depth of the action. This too is experiencing God. When a loved one passes away and our heart is empty, we are also experiencing God.

Communication comes in many forms. God declares he chose ways to confound the wise, but be revealed to the meek and humble.
What better way for God to "talk" to us about Love, than to let us experience it? What better way to talk about pain or empathy, than to experience it?

One can dream or talk for hours of skydiving, but it will never be the same as taking that step off the plane and falling.

Maybe I am wrong, but this changed the way I feel lately. It has allowed me to slow down a little and really experience everything around me, believing this is how God talks to us. It doesn't always have to be a burning bush, or a direct face to face encounter. His heart talks to our heart all day, everyday.

God bless & thanks for reading.

But Im curious as to whether other Christians view coincidence as another way of communication.

Hmm.. I wonder if other christians find coincidence as another way of communication.
You mean all the time, or sometimes?
Also, how in this context would a coincidence be a communication from God? Does it reinforce a certain trait of God, or something we are asked in the Bible to learn about?

I think what I was getting at, was, there are so many things that happen in our lives that reinforce God's message in the bible to us, about love, lust, compassion, hate, that we would be fools to not see things for what they are. Yet, there are times maybe it means nothing at all, or nothing is being said at that time to us.

Also, I don't mean to say any of this is NEW revelation. Just want to be clear about that. I just mean that things in our lives will speak to what we learn in the Bible if we open our hearts, and our spiritual eyes and ears.

With that said, what did you have in mind with coincidence?

I've had "synchronicities" that were extremely powerful and confirming.

IE. EVERYTIME i curse god in my car, I've gotten in a minor car accident. Its to the point where I catch myself cursing because I know 'he' is going to calm me down and change my track of though by having me get into another minor car accident. The first time I slid onto the median. Thats One of dozens.

If you speak two languages, you still think in only one (trust me). God wouldn't hve to use words, he could use whatever is in your skull and make you understand through that.

Jehovah our God is One
he talks to us through the writings of his prophets and servants... The Bible.

for example, you may wonder how God feels about you? You can hear his own words through Jeremiah:

Jeremiah 31:11“‘For I well know the thoughts that I am thinking toward you,’ declares Jehovah, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of calamity, to give you a future and a hope.

He talks to people of all nations and tongues and has made his word accessible in almost 200 different languages online
