How does Spirit hover?

Teritos

And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Spirit is invisible and formless, but how can it hover?

Is there other biblical creation myths?

No, there are no other biblical creation myth, but there are thousands of other creation myth from different religion. The concept of "waters of creation" is common to most mythology of the area and time. The Hebrew probably got theirs's by modifying and adapting prior stories.

Hebrew indicates fluttering like a bird almost. Similar to how the Spirit landed on Jesus appearing like a dove.

The word "spirit" in Hebrew means wind/breath so it's also just indicating that it's moving like wind on the face of the water.

Hi,
It's only a word some translators use to describe the action of the Holy Spirit upon the surface of the earth.
Hovering can indicate that God's spirit is not affected by gravity and moves as it pleases.
other translations use : Moving, moving to and fro, or simply "moved".

It's good not to view a word used by a particular translation as gospel.
Other translation and languages often use completely different words. This does not mean the original Hebrew or Greek terminology is changed, but sometime it does.

Some translations instead of hover use: moving, moved, moved to and fro.

Regardless of the term used, I don't think we should be surprised that the Holy Spirit can do what it wants.

Edit: There has to be an exhaust somewhere, beginning, middle or end, for it to be able to hover.
