How Hillary Lost The Election

Neo Deist

These are my thoughts as to why Hillary lost the election, especially in the surprise states of Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania...

1. People are tired of the same old crap. Politicians are all the same once they get into office. They live the high life, try not to offend anyone that would jeopardize re-election, and renege on campaign promises. They try to protect their political career.

Trump is not a politician. He is already a wealthy billionaire and does not have a career that he needs to protect. He is something new and different. People are taking a chance that things will be different.

2. Obama was a joke and a failure. "Time For Change" turned into "Same Old Crap." His Affordable Care Act turned out to be garbage. Many people thought that Clinton would just be a continuation of that.

3. Clinton showed that she could not be trusted. Jeopardized national security, botched Benghazi, destroyed emails, destroyed computer equipment, ignored federal subpoenas, always seemed to be above the law. She had a tendency to flip flop on issues in order to win votes. Perception goes a long way in building your character.

4. Having your husband meet with the Attorney General in the back of a plane, days before a FBI decision about your potential criminal activity, does not bode well in the public eye.

5. Having debate organizers feed your campaign questions in advance, only to have WikiLeaks blow the story wide open, just shows that the system is rigged and not fair to all the candidates. Liberal media outlets constantly spun stories to try and make Trump look bad. It was almost like major news organizations became tabloid journalism. People had enough of that crap.

Karma bit her on the ***.

Trump divided his own party, was not politically correct, overcame all the odds, and still won the election. He turned states that every analyst just knew would go to Hillary. That says a TON about how sick and tired the American people are of the same old song and dance.

Oh and this point:

6. The economy. We have a 20 trillion dollar deficit. Politicians drove us there. Perhaps a businessman that promised to bring jobs back home, can turn it around.

I do agree with these points. I just want to add the greed of the super rich and how they are running America. That has to stop. We have to become a democracy again. I wasn't so much afraid of socialist republic as long as we remained a democracy.

What I think Trump will do is let the FBI findings over Servergate as no finding stand. He's going to have to heal the great divide. There still is the Clinton Foundation investigation that is ongoing, so that will continue. I think that's about it for the Clintons.

Now to Obama. Not only is he the worst POTUS in US history, he and his administration is the most corrupt. Maybe he's not blame entirely as the Wall Street bankers chose his cabinet. Even HuffPo had an article on the corruption. If they would write it, then you know he is corrupt -- http://www.huffingtonpost.com/eric-zuesse/is-the-obama-administrati_2_b_3094454.html . During the darkest moments, I thought that he and the Clintons were going to get away with it. He had the DOJ in his pocket and they had effectively blocked the FBI from proceeding. There was no accountability. He didn't care about illegal immigration. He didn't care about the poor and the blacks in America just like the super rich do not care. They do not care for the blue collar workers in America. Bill Gates has his philanthropist foundation, but it is just a front to make him look good. The super rich are still going to make money from this election, but maybe this election slowed them down. They still control the US even if Trump is in office.

What got me was even though it "appeared" that Clinton was going to win, they still had to cheat with Donna Brazile. That was disgusting. She is a disgusting woman. I better stop because there is no point in rubbing it in. We have to come together as a nation again. There are many good people who are Democrats and they seemed to fall under the corruption of Obama's administration and could not see the bad parts. It's like the Dems saw the bad parts of Nixon and GW Bush while the Pubs could not see it. Absolute power corrupts us all and makes us want just what we want.

This I get and agree with the sentiment.

Trump is not a politician. He is already a wealthy billionaire and does not have a career that he needs to protect. He is something new and different. People are taking a chance that things will be different.

But Trump is most certainly not the man the American people hope he is. The only skill this obvious con artist seems to be good at is appearing confident about the complete BS he's been perpetually spewing forth as he's gone along, promising his plans are "great" but often not revealing details (probably because he's not actually thought about actual plans, much less the details of said plans). He really has no idea what he's doing as far as the presidency goes, only how to manipulate the public into believing his BS.

And on the contrary, he DOES have a career to protect. In fact, he's been using his campaign to promote his new hotel and other business ventures. I think he may only have run for president for the advertising opportunities it offers for his business ventures.

2. Obama was a joke and a failure. "Time For Change" turned into "Same Old Crap." His Affordable Care Act turned out to be garbage. Many people thought that Clinton would just be a continuation of that.

Obama was not a joke. I didn't agree with everything he did, but the affordable care act did in fact insure many of the previously uninsured Americans in spite of its issues. I guess Trump wants us to return to 20% of Americans having no health insurance. Way to go, America.

The real problem is that the American public is largely misinformed. In the age of information, the quantity of information is overwhelming, while the quality of that information is severely lagging. Anybody can say anything online, and the mass media news stations serve as propaganda departments for the two parties. You watch Fox News for instance, you come to perceive Clinton as a far more hateful person than she is in reality, while Trump's egregious flaws are overlooked, downplayed, and explained away.

I'll take her far lesser evils over the insanity that is Trump. The man has clearly promised to break several constitutional amendments in the Bill of Rights including the freedoms of religion and from cruel and unusual punishment, had threatened to take the presidency by force at a few of his rallies had he not won the election (meaning America elected a would-be dictator), and among his many other very real faults, is an extremely dangerous Commander in Chief. He stated he'd "blow out of the water" some Iranian sailors because they made obscene gestures at Americans... iow, if anyone in the world makes Trump personally feel bad, he'll shoot and bomb them and start a war. I foresee that unless he's somehow restrained, the US will be warring with Iran, Korea, Mexico, China, and/or just about the rest of the world except perhaps his beloved Putin's Russia.

4. Having your husband meet with the Attorney General in the back of a plane, days before a FBI decision about your potential criminal activity, does not bode well in the public eye.

Again, priorities. Yeah that's sketchy... but the better idea is to vote for a guy who goes to war over hurt feelings instead?! Seriously?!

Trump made himself look bad because his own words were damning. The liberal media didn't need to do a damn thing, he did a good job damning himself: his comments about women, Mexicans, Muslims, etc.

On the other hand, Fox and other conservative media outlets churned out tons of hate-filled, inciteful, and unfounded conspiracy theories about Clinton in order to get more people to hate her than they hated Trump.

Karma bit her on the ***.

Unfortunately, it hasn't touched Trump yet.

Trump divided his own party, was not politically correct, overcame all the odds, and still won the election. He turned states that every analyst just knew would go to Hillary. That says a TON about how sick and tired the American people are of the same old song and dance.

So they elected an incompetent con artist who is a compulsive liar and demonstrably so? That makes no sense whatsoever.

The problem actually is the poor quality of information, and enough people basically falling for the lies they've been told to make Trump somehow seem less of a problem.

Oh and this point:

6. The economy. We have a 20 trillion dollar deficit. Politicians drove us there. Perhaps a businessman that promised to bring jobs back home, can turn it around.

And putting a bad businessman, one who bankrupted four companies, who made far less money in his lifetime from his inherited money than if he'd put it all into a stable fund, who lost nearly $1 billion one year that he was exempted from federal taxes (and was blatantly proud he got away with not paying federal taxes), in charge of the country's economy is supposed to be good?! Lol. We're screwed.

I don't think Obama was a factor in Trump's rise or Hillary's failure.
He wasn't a great prez, but he wasn't that terrible either (the debacle of Obamacare notwithstanding).
Hillary was just a really bad candidate, no matter how greased the skids were for her ascension to office (DNC, media & government corruption which favored her behind the scenes). There was no glass ceiling, there was no powerful opponent....just her own failure to launch.

Holy crap, I actually agree with you.

But as close as things were it's hard not to see the Comey thing as being a big factor. Most estimates I saw prior to the election were that he had cost her between 3 and 5 %. In several key states that may have made the difference.

Well, tis bound to happen.
Occasionally I do have a keen sense of the obvious....or....
Broken clock syndrome, eh?

There were so many factors coming at us.
Just as Hillary had last minute dings, so did Trump.
It could've gone either way.

The Clinton-Bush era is dead.

Hillary was the worst disaster for the Democratic Party in over half a century. Actually in 100 years. The Democrats and Democratic establishment that backed Hillary have now lost EVERYTHING, the Governorships, the State Legislatures, the House, the Senate, now the Presidency and soon the Supreme Court.

Why did Hillary lose? Many reasons. Basically, the Dems should have run Bernie but the Party system is totally corrupt and rigged. Overall, America is totally sick of the Bushes and Clintons, the majority in America does not like Hillary but a bunch of foreign nationals who are bad acts and illegal South of the Border illiterate selfish aliens who illegally voted for her do.

The economy is now on a rally post-Trump election, by early next year it will rally again and no one is going to have second thoughts about Hillary who has assured the Republicans power for a very long time now. By the way, the Republican establishment is also in dangerously precarious position, not just the Dems. America is never going back to BUSH-CLINTON, forget it.

Revenge is also coming. Those dead ender Hillarybots actually better be afraid, even if I don't support such tone. The more Hillary even shows her face, the worse it will be for the Dems.

Even California will start to see a shift right in the next four years as illegal aliens are removed from interference as foreign nationals in our elections.

And Hillary's book sucked. Another reason she lost.

The reason Trump didn't win a landslide popular vote is by not appealing to LEGAL latinos. Spreading your kind be of tripe isn't helping trump by calling them illegal votes. It really screams racism to me. Your in California you really believe all latinos are there illegally?
