I saw Firestarter in 1984, I did not like Drew Barrymore as the fire starter, I found her to be more likeable as E.T,'s darling friend.

I saw the first Firestarter, but I didn't really care for it too much. I have no interest in watching a remake. I'm not a fan of remakes in general.

I noticed that too.
Everything thing just about is a remake or remaster now. There's nothing new or original anymore as if the capability for creatively is something now foreign and impossible beyond their capabilities.
