Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I personally think it's way over blown out and of control.

You would think this virus is on par with the Black Plague in medieval Europe the way people are acting.

Whether people like it or not, 3% is not a high number to garner this type of paranoia and alarmism.

It's certainly not a good thing, but I can't help but think something else is going on behind the scenes that the public simply isn't being informed about.

It is serious for those in the risk groups, which is not my case, so I'm not freaking out. However, everyone should be careful. I bit of good sense never hurt anyone.
They said we should wash our hands regularly and I've always done that. As for avoiding people, I'm more than happy to do that ;) I guess I'm sorted then.

For a UK paper, but the problem is the same in general:

It is not that Corvid-19 is properly not that lethal. It is that we have no herd-immunity and the rate of transmission if unchecked in regards to the capacity of a given healthcare system.

Does that mean, that as a JW you will not be knocking on doors?

I picked <very serious>, but I'm not at all worried.
Just taking precautions appropriate for a curmudgeon,
& watching it all in fascination.
I have been stocking up on rare early steam engines though.

I didn't vote because it is missing an important position.

It is serious for those who have compromised health situations but I am not worried.
and/or "It's the Chinese fault" :D

From a health point of view, I'm not worried. but from an income and employment pov I am worried.
Brexit has already started a downturn in my workload; this is likely to be catastrophic. My pensions are a due to trip in in the next 18 months.
My son is a self-employed builder; if his work dries up, he gets no benefits.
Pubs, bars, cafe concert venues will struggle.

Not good

I've also heard that people can get re-infected, that unlike the flu you don't develop an immunity once you get it.

Nice.

Yeah, it appears there are 2 strains out there and you can get both. Don't know if it is so, but it is not impossible, that a mutation has already taken place.

Mikkel

The second strain is a recent mutation, the first is comparatively mild compared to the newer evolution.

You can get both

I'm worried about the effects on the economy and society, rather than for my personal health. Tonight's concert has been cancelled at the last minute. Not only is that a huge amount of work down the drain for the music department at my son's school and all the performers, including me, but when I rang the nearby restaurant I had booked to cancel, I found they have had a lot of cancellations for the some reason. That made me think a bit.

I worry that people will stop going out and cafes and restaurants will go bust in their thousands, throwing a lot of people out of work. Add that to the woes of the travel industry and suddenly we have a real global recession on our hands.

The only bright spot I see is that the American people by November might have had enough of this divisive and incompetent joker in the White House.

It 's a manufactured event like 9/11. Most likely it's a multipurpose event, still have some organic pop corn left.

They will like in Germany after 1933. Just eat your popcorn. Maybe it is just lost Saddam's WMDs?
They will examine your head, you mean? Did you get yours examined in 1933? That makes you older than God's dog. I'm impressed. :D

The President said it:-

"It's going to disappear. One day it's like a miracle, it will disappear"
