Greetings all who were curious enough to click on this little thread of mine.

I hope you are enjoying your time here at the forum today.

Here's a site I may have mentioned before without realising all the free-stuff it has for those who have the time & the inclination.

Obviously I can't vouch for all of them because I have only just started to scratch the surface.

So just click on whatever arouses your curiosity!

Here is the site -

The only thing I'm likely to develop personally, at my age (70 this year), is an incurable disease. In terms of "personal development", the concrete set decades ago, probably when I reached 40.

For me, life is not about development but about retaining, for as long as I can, as much capacity as I can. I'm reminded of an anecdote about a lady of a certain age being asked, at the gym, if she was trying to improve her fitness. She replied, "No, I'm just trying to get worse more slowly."

Many people recommend practicing gratitude if you really want to experience an enjoyable life.

Here's one article -

I personally think that I can learn more -- much of the time, not all -- by looking inside myself and asking "why do I feel the way I do?" One of my most important realizations from that, which helped me to become a much better leader of people when I was in business, was the realization that if my feelings were "real," then so were everybody else's. And then to observe that it does no good to help people cope with what they're feeling by first denying that they ought to have those feelings.

One of my management mandates, that I never let go of: "People's feelings are real. Respect them for what they are."

Same thing when I asked myself what is it that motivates me, and realizing that it was knowing where I was trying to go, and having some idea of how I could get myself there. That's powerful.

So another of my management mandates became: "Show folks the 'richly imagined future,' then connect them to it." They'll do the rest themselves.

This page presents powerful tools, developed by Peter Shepherd, to help you find the truth of your situation. You may feel stressed, or confused, there may be a lot going on and choices to make that seem a bit overwhelming. Or you may simply need time with yourself, to decide what it is you really want and just who you are, really?

All the best!

No ─ at the very minimum each person dies sooner or later, Some of those will have shown no personal development for decades, whether by their own nature or by mental disorder.
You know their thoughts? What and how they feel?

The proper study of mankind is man, said Sandy Pope (rather finessing the case that the proper study of mankind is mostly womankind), and often enough the student can form a reasonable impression of what the processes of other individuals are, and equally are not.

Of course, all generalizations, including that one, may need a grain of salt occasionally.
