Ok I take it your against the appellate system. I hope Hunter appeals anyways to make sure the court decision is fair and just.
Not at all, but I am against avoiding reality due to lack of information or wearing rose colored glasses.
Realistically Trump has little chance at success on appeal on the terms that he claims.
Here is a good overview of what is likely to happen.
Only one approach is likely to hold out anything more than the slimmest of hopes for the former president.
www.nytimes.com
"Mr. Trump’s legal team can approach his appeal on several fronts, but only one, concerning the legal theory behind the falsifying business records charge, is likely to hold out anything more than the slimmest of hopes for the former president."
Not the little kerfuffle over Daniels testimony.
"If this supposedly prejudicial testimony is put to the judges on the appellate court, they would ask if the lurid portions of Ms. Daniels’s testimony caused the jury to convict Mr. Trump. The answer here is a clear no."
Just because it might be an error doesn't mean that it would have changed the verdict, appeal denied.
Change of venue due to pretrial publicity, Martians aren't eligible to serve on American juries and juries are selected from the local population through a longstanding process of voir dire. Change of venue might well be appropriate in a small town when the charge is the football captain raping the homecoming queen, then it would be hard to find jurors not closely familiar and so you move it to a different town.
As for the 6th amendment, if no explanation was given maybe, but a thirty page document was produced to the effect by competent jurists to competent lawyers, not likely and when was the last time you saw this argument be used let alone successful ?
As it has been said, his best chance is the novelty of the argument, Felony fraud due to secondary crime is a common cause of successful prosecution, this case is a little unusual due to the rarity of presidential candidates committing it, but there is a first time for everything.
Yes he will be out on appeal and can continue his campaign etc. Hunter Biden can appeal too, doesn't mean I have to or should reserve judgement given the facts at hand.
