Hunting Sharks After Attacks

Hello

Firstly I'd like to give my condolences to the families who have lost loved ones, and people who have lost limbs and endured injuries, due to shark attacks. It must be really disturbing and upsetting. :(

Most reently we see this story in the news: Shark attack victim Chris Boyd, killed at Umbies off Gracetown in WA, mourned by Coolum surfing community - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) about a 35 year old father of two who was killed by what authorities think was a Great White Shark.

Secondly, I'm wondering what people here think about hunting and killing the shark responsible (or the one who might have been responsible..)? Do you think it's a good idea, or a bad idea? Do you think it serves any purpose, or is it an attempt of revenge? Have any studies been conducted which indicate that sharks who have attacked humans will me more likely to do it again? Should we be patrolling the oceans to keep sharks away and culling them so people can have their surfing and waveboarding, etc?

I don't know much about sharks. Thanks.

Depends Upon My Mood..
I think it serves no purpose .Maybe emotional to "get it " like its a "murderer".

It not a murderer.

Watch out for bull sharks .Its not just "great whites" that will get you .

What should we do ? Kill all the sharks so the oceans 3/4 of the world is safe for humans ? UP sting rays ,jelly fish >>>one of the most dangerous (or I think the most ) poisonous animal in the world. Is>>>>>
