Then I was thinking -- of the destruction of existence, by that you probably mean human existence on earth? i heard in the past that cockroaches will stay alive after a nuclear fallout. Not that I know if cockroaches would remain or think that human life will go bye bye forever on earth.

Well it's not a hypothesis. But never. Even the implosion of the universe to pre big bang status as a singularity won't snuff out existence.
