Hypothetical

Hypothetically, I wonder how native Americans would've treated a less technologically advanced human civilization if it was planted into the Americas. I'm guessing they wouldn't have been nice givin' the sick times and delusional forms of justice across the globe. This isn’t to justify what happened to them. It’s just a thought. If my guess is true it makes you think about seemingly “peaceful” peolple. After all there was fighting amongst tribes. I’m sure there were some genuinely good hearted native Americans just like in all peoples all over the world though. Makes ya think. Things always get painted as the European’s as the bad ones which they were but things always seem to be painted like the Native Americans were just peaceful and perfect. I think it’s wonderful that people should know the truth about past history but try not to fall into another fantasy world doing so.

People are people and do as people do, good or bad. There's plenty of information out there if you're interested in learning about the first nations

If you're looking for a story of violence and evil done within the context of first nations folks, Chief Kitsap is a good place to start

People are three dimensional, though, and situations are often more complex than they first seem. The things Kitsap did were done in response to the constant raiding from the Cowichan tribes from up north which were not unlike what Vikings did on their raiding parties into England. Ultimately, he isn't always remembered as a warlord but is also known as a builder and a peace maker

As for your second point, we are only freshly coming to the realization of the awful things that have been done by the USA and Europe without it being brushed under the rug or dismissed outright. Let's not hide from the truth, but accept the evils done instead of just pretending like everything is all honky dory. After all, the dust from this evil has only JUST settled. For example:

Not only that, but recently there have been mass graves discovered at some of these boarding schools!

I know all this. You make a good point though. It’s really Europe that is responsible for the horrors done to the natives. On this soil but still Europe’s the culprit
