When I had turned 30, which was seven years ago, I told a worker at a restaurant that I thought that meant I was much older. She laughed at me and said No.

I'm 65, and although I'm well aware both mind and body are 65 years old, I still feel a lot like I did in 20s and 30s...except I'm not as depressed and depressing as I was back then...

If I could have my 30-year-old body back, I'd make a lot of effort to take much better care of it...

30 - I have plenty of time to get what I have always wanted, but no hurry.
40 - Starting to realize I need to get on with what I have always wanted.
50 - Wondering where the last 10 years went, but still trying to get what I have always wanted.
60 - Heck I'll soon be able to retire and really do what I have always wanted.
70 - Retirement is good, but not much progress in what I have always wanted. Weeks go by like minutes.
80 - What was it I wanted? Can't remember. Lots of peace and quiet though. Maybe that was what I always wanted. It does feel good.

The other week we were talking about this on discord, and someone (I think it was Sum of Awe) said something very smart sounding. He said he thinks that (based on some paper or other) our sense of time changes and that it has to do with having accumulated knowledge and experience. I'm not sure if that was exactly what he said, but what I took from it was that if we keep learning then the passage of time might slow down for us. Is he right? I have no idea, but it sounds good to me.

Throughout my life and from an early age I have always considered him to be much older than me!

30’s we’re incredibly transformative for me. I was saved by Jesus Christ and born again to new life. I can’t even describe the freedom and peace that permeated my life. Prior to that I had experienced some very difficult life circumstances, was confused and tossed around by all kinds of spiritual ideas, and so often fearful and tense.

Thirties seem so young now that I’m way older. But I consider age just a number while here on earth because my perspective is now eternal. So each passing year is just closer to the moment I enter the eternal realm.
