I don't believe in god, but i dislike the term atheism

To me that feels like being ok by obsessing over something. I have a life. So i just don't care about it. But people usually would call me something like

- Insecure
- Bigot
- Anti Atheism

Just by defining these terms make me feel all snobbish. Like some old guy in his 40s with a hat and glasses going mmm yes.

I mean. When i used to be a Christian i just knew many people who don't believed in god. But i never heard them say "I am an Atheist" all i thought was games and hanging out with friends, or just to say hello! Belief just didnt have any value. I mean i used to pray before going to bed when i still believed in that stuff. And lived the daily life like usual doing stuff and all that.

It wasn't til i used the internet that all this thing became popular.

I mean i was ok with all the humor stuff, i mean one gotta laugh at oneself one way or another. I started knowing what it was when i went to Yahoo Answers.

Perhaps you are agnostic, or could just tell people you are non theistic if you are not comfortable with the term atheist. Or you could just push labels to the side and not concern yourself with it :)

Yea I don't have any beliefs is a god, and like you I don't like labelling myself atheist, just be who you are, question everything and try not to form a belief out of whatever you discover.

I just tell "I don't believe in God". Because i don't Or well its the abrahamic religions atleast. Due to the fact of ancient israels archeological history. I just have been too obsessed with these stuff for past 2 years now. So i just have been somewhat tired off it :)

I've always liked the term, "reprobate".
Since most people don't know what means, but sense something self-deprecating, they'll find it friendly & non-threatening.

Meh, there's a million titles that accurately apply to me that I probably don't like. Don't use 'em is the usual way I deal with it.
And Rev? I know 'reprobate', and would still find it self-deprecating. Right up until you knicked my wallet, anyway.

It is just a word.

It says nothing else about you as a person.

Do not let the ignorant theists tell you any differently.
