I envy Hindus

They are vegetarians. Their whole culture is vegetarian. No?
No. It's around 30%, last time I checked. It varies regionally, and in general the average meat-eater in Hinduism eats less than in the west. Many will be 'vegetarian' 2 or 3 days a week, or for festivals, or on 'temple' days. As to health, the Indian diet has 3 big challenges ... too much salt, too much sugar, and too much white (as in white bread and white rice).

If I didn't have the dietary control I did, I'd envy the Hindu (or anyone) with a healthy vegetarian diet.

But hey, thanks for the opportunity to do some myth busting.
