I had a lucid dream

It was mundane and quite like waking life. I had doubted that I could be awake while dreaming. Now I don't.

Hi....... do you remember your dreams easily? One method is to keep pen and pad by your bedside and to sit up and write them down as soon as you wake. It takes several weeks just to get into that rhythm, but once you do it gets very interesting.

I have been retaining dreams more often recently. Last night I dreamt that I walked out to our porch at dawn and found the front door open, and my fold-up bike had been taken from the porch! In my dream I thought, 'this can't be right 'cos I know that I locked the front door...... if I wake up it'll save me loads of hassle!' So I did! Of course, my bike was still there...... crazy or what? :)

Maybe lack of water, or load on stomach....something medical only....All dreams are not spiritual messages.

I had a lot of those before. Is your dream something like seeing yourself sleeping and then you feel like you want to 'go back' to your own body but you can't? If that's the case, better have yourself checked. That could be a Night Terror Disorder.

Life itself is a dream, the whole thing is to awakened from the dream, and realize that your true inner self isn't the dream.

Hello Dawud!
I'm sure that you are right.
For instance, my dream, where I woke up and went to find the Porch door ajar and my bike stolen is almost certainly associated with my responsibility to see that the poorch door is locked each night. :)

That is a very strange way to describe a lucid dream, my friend. :)
It was thrilling experience, but it was really "normal". It was me awake, except I'd worked out I was dreaming. I spent most of the time trying to determine where I was, as in my sleeping self. I knew I was somewhere in my house but I couldn't remember for the life of me what I was doing before I went to sleep. Then I woke up before I could do anything exciting. Next time...

OK. That sounds more like it. The first time especially it is a very weird experience. Congratulations on your achievement.
