Can I hear you say people can't be made by other people? Your Bible says they can be. Matthew 28:19

Do you think that because I am only one and uneducated that it must be me who is wrong and the multitude that is right?

1 John 5:19
We know that we are of God, and that the whole world is under the power of the evil one.

1 Corinthians 1:27
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.

Isaiah 2:11 Darby Bible Translation
The lofty eyes of man shall be brought low, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day.

2 Corinthians 10:5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Psalm 18:27
..... haughty eyes You abase.

Proverbs 30:13
There is a kind-- oh how lofty are his eyes! And his eyelids are raised in arrogance.

Matthew 15:19
For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, and slander.

Matthew 24:37
As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man.

I had an aha moment that I shall write in my quiet private place (here).

Jehovah's Witnesses teach that Jeremiah 9:22 is literally dead bodies. But I know that if I am right and you all are wrong, you are all dead to me. That is a LOT of people!

I am also aware that if Jesus ever brings the light to your mind too, you will be like resurrected. Just a thought.

Muffled

Jesus in me
I do not think it means habit.

Luke 1:9 According to the custom habit of the priests
Luke 2:42 When he was twelve years old, they went up to the festival, according to the custom habit
Luke 22:39 And having gone forth, He went according to the custom habit to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples also followed Him.
John 19:40 Taking Jesus' body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen. This was in accordance with Jewish burial customs habits.
Acts of the Apostles 25:16 I told them that it is not the Roman custom habit to hand over anyone before they have faced their accusers and have had an opportunity to defend themselves against the charges.
Acts of the Apostles 6:14 For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs habits Moses handed down to us.
Acts of the Apostles 16:21 by advocating customs habits unlawful for us Romans to accept or practice.

I agree with you that it is the "habit" of some to miss meetings, but the word "custom" is obviously something different than a habit.
A custom is something a person does that is linked to tradition. Can you see it? I wonder why not.

Also, forsake is the wrong word for missed meetings. If I 'forsake" meetings it means I make the promise to myself that I will never go again. Do you think that is likely?

I don't believe so. I believe a custom is just a habit that has become more entrenched.

I believe it makes sense that customs become traditions over generations.

I believe one could think of the expression "for Pete's sake." I believe it means the person has found an excuse not to attend ie for the sake of a football game they did not attend church. I do not see that as a long term commitment although it can become that if your child is on the team. I used to go to church on Sunday night when the Superbowl was on. Fortunately after church we all went to the basement to watch the game together and eat smacks.

God, I hope not. Can't cook, LOL. My mom treats it like an art, but I need someone like Alton Brown to describe the science of what is going on so I know how it works. :)

Even if the former is what is actually said and meant, I believe that if we judge the tree by its fruit, "being" is far more important. A company that advertises a lot and doesn't focus on product and customer service will not be able to retain customers in the long run.

I don't think it as disastrous as some people think. If I make a Biblical error I learn from it and move on. My wife baked a cake for me once before we were married but it didn't come out perfect so she threw it away and made another one that turned out better.

This is fun!

It is written Jesus says, "get away from me".

Why does he say that?

Depart is a verb and away is a place. What will he tell them?

Matthew 7:22"Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' 23"And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'

Matthew 7:22-23

Matthew 7:15
"Beware of false prophets. They come to you disguised as sheep, but in their hearts they are vicious wolves.
16 You will know them by what they produce. "People don't pick grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles, do they?
17 In the same way every good tree produces good fruit, but a rotten tree produces bad fruit.
18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a rotten tree cannot produce good fruit.
19 Any tree that fails to produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into a fire.
20 So you will know them by what they produce.

21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord!' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the person who does what my Father in heaven wants.

Who's fault would it be that "YOU" talk to "YOURSELF", mine?
Of course! LOL. If nobody (including you) will talk with me, then if you choose not to discuss, it is your fault. Isn't it?

Have you never read Matthew 25:31-46

Tell me, those brothers who were not helped, is it their fault or the fault of the ones who are not helping? According to Jesus, it seems to be the fault of the ones not helping. Or....are you teaching another gospel?

You seem to be talking to me.

Whoever translates Matthew 7:23 the traditional way doesn't know much about human nature imho.

Someone might consider dedication to the way, the truth and the life, but then he reads that Jesus will eventually say to some people that it was in vain they did. Then Human nature will affect a person's choice not take the chance. And that I would forgive. Wouldn't you?

But if it might mean that he will say to some that they never knew him, then a person reading it will have to learn to listen. I think it is possible.
Go in through the narrow gate, listen to what the spirit says to the ecclesia which is the body of Christ. Yes?

"People" can't be "made" by other "people". My Bible does not say, "people can be made by other people", it says, make disciples/students, not people! Do you understand the word "DISCIPLE"? How did Jesus "make" disciples?

g3100. μαθητεύω mathēteuō; from 3101; intransitively, to become a pupil; transitively, to disciple, i.e. enrol as scholar: — be disciple, instruct, teach.

Do you think that because I am only one and uneducated that it must be me who is wrong and the multitude that is right?

You appear to be the only one who does not think that "make" means "make", that the Bible, and everyone who believes the Bible is wrong, and you are right, that "make" does not mean "make".

Look at it this way,

Matthew 28:19 (ESV Strong's) 19 Go therefore and make disciples [cause to become pupils] of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.

You appear to be NOT paying attention. I shall yell. OK?

THE WORD MAKE WAS ADDED

The original seems to say, "disciple the nations".

To add the word make there, changes the verb disciple to a noun. You have changed the word of God, if it is the word of God. You can't deny you do.

? Are you saying that it's the sheep's fault that the goats are put at His left hand?

The self can cause the self to become a pupil. Perhaps a parent or a guardian can cause someone to become a pupil, but believe me (I have mothered four college dropouts) nobody is able to cause someone else to learn anything. OK?

An interesting mind you have. No, I am not saying that. I am saying it is a goat's fault that he is put on His left hand. It is a goat's fault that he would not help the least one of Jesus's people.

Which reminds me of an episode of Law and Order SVU. The sperm originator had two offspring, girls, who he believed to be geniuses.
He tortured them so that they might learn his lessons. One thing he did was to make them kneel on rice while they recited for him.
But I still shall say. NOBODY can make another person a pupil. As our very lovely friend @Deeje keeps saying, It is each one's choice. God won't make a person choose right.

Do YOU believe Jesus is the way, the truth and the life? John 14:6 (I do). @Tumah (as cute as a button) doesn't and that is OK with me.
To believe in Jesus is to believe in the way, the truth and the life.
To know Jesus is to know the way, the truth and the life.
Here is where the miracle happens for you. To know the way, the truth and the life is to know Jesus.
Does God want people to know the way? Yes? OK. Then, why would Jesus EVER SAY what you say he says? According to YOU, Jesus says,"get away from me". Is it not the very same as saying. "leave the way, the truth and the life"?

YOU say Jesus will say, "leave the way, the truth and the life" BUT (I am going to yell)

It is God's will that ALL people learn the way......1 Timothy 2:3-7

3 This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God,+ 4 whose will is that all sorts of people should be saved+ and come to an accurate knowledge of truth. 5 For there is one God,+ and one mediator+ between God and men,+ a man, Christ Jesus,+ 6 who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all*+—this is what is to be witnessed to in its own due time. 7 For the purpose of this witness+ I was appointed a preacher and an apostle+—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—a teacher of nations+ in the matter of faith and truth.
