My question was: Is it true God teaches the disciple love and you replied by repeating scripture about how God has set men in the congregation for different activities. I know that scripture. That scripture seems to me to prove my point that Jesus never said to go make disciples because that is the job of being sent (apostleship), teaching, prophesying, healing, speaking different languages......so it takes a congregation to make disciples Doesn't it? No one can obey the order, "go, make disciples", but people try. Don't they? Are they sheep who do try?
Then, someone might say a disciple is someone
who brings another person to the congregation to be taught by it. But, to be a disciple of someone is to be taught by him. Correct? I think that if anyone here was actually being taught by him, he would understand that a disciple of Jesus is one who is being taught by him. The Bible makes it about being taught by someone else. By the way, spiritual obedience to someone else respecting God's Kingdom can't be anything other than antichrist. Can it?
Anyway, God's people are suppose to seek peace and pursue it. Psalms 34:14 and 1 Peter 3:11. According to Matthew 28:19 they are suppose to to it in all nations for a witness to all people. When someone of all people see the peace of a disciple of Jesus he or she will approach that person and that person of Jesus will disciple the seeker of peace. The seeker of peace need not attach himself to Jesus' disciple. He may go on his way to make MORE peace.
Peace will spread and this will grow.
5"How beautiful are your tents, Jacob, your dwelling places, Israel!
6"Like valleys they spread out, like gardens beside a river, like aloes planted by the LORD, like cedars beside the waters.
7 Water will flow from their buckets; their seed will have abundant water. "Their king will be greater than Agag; their kingdom will be exalted
8"God brought them out of Egypt; they have the strength of a wild ox. They devour hostile nations and break their bones in pieces; with their arrows they pierce them.
9Like a lion they crouch and lie down, like a lioness--who dares to rouse them? "May those who bless you be blessed and those who curse you be cursed!"
Psalms 92:12
Psalms 1:3
Proverbs 3:33
I will tell you something about Proverbs 3:33. If a person has accepted The Lord to obey The Lord and he is blessed, but he does not make known his affinity for The Lord, then people actually will think that what he has in a physical way or where he is in a physical way is what makes him prosper, then The Lord is not glorified in that man.
