I have another question for YOU to ignore

Your certainty is not very reassuring to me. I add nothing to the scripture.
You do. I think that you should find out for sure if you don't because if you do you might be lying.

Scripture? Maybe so. I am talking about scriptures, not just one. Maybe the one you have in mind right now is as written and you haven't added meaning to it. I do not know which one you say you haven't added to.

That is what I am talking about. YOU add meaning to what the Bible says. I am warning you. Take it or leave it.
Thankfully, I do what I do without regard for what you think I do. And this allows me to rebuke those like you who twist the Word of God for their own selfish purposes.

Please explain how I would seem to benefit by believing that 'make' was added to Matthew 28:19?

By the way, @Sonofason I hope that you have noticed that I have not insulted you, but you have insulted me saying that I twist scripture and that I do if for some selfish purpose.

I can't even begin to imagine how I could benefit from it.

The only thing I think I get from comparing versions of scripture is a laugh now and again. Other than that, it seems to me that I would be much better of personally if I would get down to my own personal business.

I personally tend to read the KJV version which reads,

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:"

A disciple is a follower or student of a teacher, leader, or philosopher. Therefore if someone were to teach all nations, that would be the same thing as making disciples of all nations.

This is the verse with the translation you used.

"19 Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:"

If I were to delete the word "make", the sentence would make no sense in English

Go ye therefore and disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

What is it to go and disciples of all the nations? You're being absurd in your thinking, in my opinion. Back up, and think before you speak.

I am sure that you add plural to disciple and you make it a noun so doesn't make sense.

Disciple all of the nations.

It means being taught by Jesus (disciple - the verb) throughout the earth (all) nations (which means there is not to be anyone excluded).

YOU twist scripture when you make the meaning of to be a disciple someone who is to make more disciples. A disciple is likened to a student who goes to school. The school is Jesus (not his real name). Tell me how going to school means getting others to go to school also? If you are out and about looking for students, how can you also be a student? YOUR Bible says a student is someone who looks for students. LOL. And I am the one not making sense.

Carry on..................

I didn't add it..Translators who are a lot better at translating Greek than I am did that. Apparently, you think you can do better. How should the verse read?

You have insulted me on three occasions.
I should you how you insulted me. You insult me again by claiming I have insulted you, but not showing me how. I have not said you twist scripture. What I believe you do is you trust twisted scripture (someone else twisted it). I have not said you are selfish. I believe you are being misled.

Should? I do not do should.

Does? It says, "having gone therefore disciple (be my student) ALL the nations."

Please see that the word disciple is a verb. Be is a verb.

I just said all this, and you didn't even read it apparently. Yes, disciple all nations = teach all nations = make disciples of all nations. It is the same in every translation, except yours. You seem to think this somehow means that everyone will be saved. That just is not Biblical at all.

Can you see that ANYONE can preach and teach?

Only those who stay with The Christ are able to preach and teach effectively. Can you say that is true that only those who are taught by Christ are able to teach Christ. Am I wrong?
