I might have cancer

roger1440

I do stuff
I might have cancer. I had a cystoscopy done yesterday. It will take about a week to get the results. There has been blood in my urine since at least March of this year. The doctor who performed the procedure said most likely its cancer. My regular doctor said about a month ago it could be a bladder infection or cancer. Obviously I’m hoping it’s a bladder infection. I’m very worried about this.
I have a tube coming out my penis going to a plastic urine bag. The tube will be removed next week. This thing grosses me out. Plus its painful when I urinate.

Ouch!
I never thought I'd say this as a positive thing, but....
I hope you have a urinary tract infection.

I'm really sorry to hear that. Let's hope the diagnosis is as light as it could possible be, and let's hope you will be able to recovery as swiftly as possible from whatever ails you, with as little discomfort as possible.

If it is any consolation, in the event you do have cancer, it's better to find out in 2014 than any previous time in history. Cancer blows, but technologies to fight them are strong. Keep in close contact with your physicians and please see a psychiatrist or two if you feel the burden is going to strong for you.

My best wishes, sincerely.

Sad to hear, hope your diagnosis is good. It is amazing what medicine can do these days with many new treatments in the pipeline. You are not alone, in my case its the hot flushes that drive me nuts with the anti-androgen treatment for my stage 4 version. Keep your chin up, you only live once so enjoy every day.

Cheers

I'll add my best wishes to everyone else's. I know a lot of people who have beaten all sorts of cancers and hopefully that will be true for you as well.

I'm sad to have read about your illness.
I've had three cancer 'scares' over 15 years and on each occasion the quacks felt certain, but were wrong twice, and I've lived with the third (a kind of skin cancer) for ten years now. After a while the word 'cancer' isn't so frightening.
So try to bring your horizon down to 'one day at a time' and try to do things that give you some joy on each day, if you can.
If you have cancer they can kill it, most often now.
If you don't have cancer you might try to benefit from the experiences and feelings that you are having now whilst awaiting results.
Good luck! :)

I hope that whatever the diagnosis ends up being, that you and your doctors are able to quickly and effectively address what needs to be done for you to have a quick and full recovery.
