Did you even watch the whole video? Sharon's comments reflect the difficult situation early in the war. But the war continued after that. Keep watching after the 8th minute and see the rest, especially the terms of the treaty in 1979 *hint... 9:08 on the video.

Egypt could not defeat Israel so the Egyptian government traded control of Gaza for the Sinai, in 1979. I don't see anything like a victory for Egypt, much less in 1973.

What did they win? Israel controlled Sinai until 1979, and Egypt gave control of Gaza to the Zionist movement.
What does "Egypt won." mean? Wasn't the attack to get rid of Israel? Israel is still there, and stronger than it was then.

Clearly, you are comfortable with the lie that Egypt won in 1973 even though not only does history disagree, but facts in evidence (like that pesky question of who controlled the Sinai till 1979) testify against your position. I can't disagree with someone who is willing to close his eyes to the historical record and the actual events. You can go and argue that sites like history.com are controlled by Israeli interests.

About the Videos you posted, have you actually watched Video number 3? Here it is again to remind you.
It shows the battle which crippled the Egyptian army on the Sinai, Israeli Soldiers crossing the channel, securing more territory in Egypt... and then a viewer with some kind of logical thinking realises something. The video is actually cut from several documentaries, by an Egyptian/Arab.
It somehow cuts out major parts of these documentaries because they are against what is being taught in the Arab world.
Too bad two Israeli soldiers made a picture near Ismailia, a city on the western side of Suez.

I was in the IDF(Baluza, near Suez canal) in the 73 war.
Fast forward to 1993 when I am teaching students(in London) including many Arabs who tell me their version what happened in 1973 and btw the 6-day war in which they were victorious.
They really, really believe it.
