If "everything is energy" then what does this mean?

In Prajnaparamita, as non-dual knowledge, it is equated with Tathagata and as prajna he is identical with the absolute

You and your legalistic/mechanical interpretations, you clearly have no idea what this is pointing to. It's pointing to non-dual KNOWLEDGE, it's an insight, not a "thing". LOOK, THE MOON.

You are obsessed, every time somebody mentions "absolute" you think they're talking about your PRECIOUS, "The Absolute". But they're not, it's just a figure of speech.

You and your "Absolute", you are like Golom and his precious ring.

The author is not saying it; Mahayana Buddhism is saying it!

No, one misguided commentator is saying it, and you are parroting it. Why? Because you are an immature and egotistical fool, a Chopra clone who hijacks threads to preach an absurd DIY religion.

It is neither precious nor not-precious. It is simply The Absolute, and I can't do a thing about it.

All I was trying to show was that, contrary to your claim that atanu's post did not contain a reference to 'the absolute', it in fact did.

Does The Absolute make you twitch and squirm, the cause of your Knee Jerkiness?

Not I. I sleep quite peacefully.

The Absolute is your God substitute, your comfort blanket, you are obsessed with it. Your name here says it all, the confusion you have, the inability to let go of deep beliefs and clinging.

My only concern with The Absolute as regards this forum is to point out that most of you live with your minds focused on the foreground of life, while ignoring the background, which is The Absolute.

You are clearly obsessed with the IDEA of the "The Absolute", highly attached to it, it's your God substitute.

The Absolute is Nothingness. How does one attach to Nothingness? We all come out of it, but since it is inside and outside, there is no need to clutch at it. All we need do is to let go and float. Grasp, and you will sink to the bottom.

I am way beyond the stage of requiring a cosmic parent figure to be free from metaphysical anxiety.

I don't need to eat crap to know that it is crap.

As I thought, you are just making stuff up again. You have no experience or knowledge of the Theravada schools ( there are many ) just a knee-jerk reaction based on some misguided sectarian rhetoric. How shallow you are.

So now you're playing the poor misunderstood prophet again. Another one of your charades. If you really think that people here NEED your bizarre DIY religion, then you are just delusional.

For most people here it would be a huge RELIEF if you stopped posting.

To be fair....athiests on this forum can never admit to a God existing, otherwise they would not be atheists....and if they have learned that Brahman represents absolute reality...then it follows that they can not admit there is an absolute reality existing... :)

You are just replacing one fiction with another, an endless tautology of metaphysical straws. If you stop clutching at woo, you might begin to see things as they really are.

I don't WANT to know more than I already know about Theravada. I told you: I don't need to partake of principles I disagree with to know they are disagreeable to me.

Yes, my Precious, just like the golem and his ring.

...and you can't do a thing about The Absolute either, except to be totally immersed in it.

Is the practice of pseudo-New Age Hinduism difficult? I was considering joining, but wanted to consult first with a seasoned member such as yourself.

I know if would be for you.

So tell me: how long have you been a closet Chopra devotee?

Not just for me, I can assure you. You might be better preaching your bizarre DIY religion on a new-age forum where people are more gullible and thrive on PPNs. Though of course you would have learn everyone else's PPNs too, a blizzard of meaningless made-up words, such fun!

mmmm.....don't have a religion, unless 'Nothingness' can be called a religion.

How many years did it take to reach the high levels of Chopra inspired wisdom such as you have achieved?
