If "everything is energy" then what does this mean?

Very well said. But if you really abided in that truth then what would be the need to correct 'so called ignorance' in 'so called others'?
.

I never alluded to any so called others. You are the one, steeped in duality, thinking 'this' and 'that'; 'self' and 'other'; 'yours' and 'mine'.

But where is Atanu? That is your mind, dude. You are rebuking yourself. :D

Bye and best wishes.

Ah, no one has ever seen the mysterious and powerful Lord Atanu, as he remains cloud-hidden, whereabouts unknown, the very essence of Absolute Nothingness, The Indestructible Sunyata.

In your vision there are ignorant beings all around you, whom you need to convert to your way of thinking.

I have no particular view as you, the atheist, must daily maintain and advertise, with your Sience to protect you. I have pointed many, many times to The Unconditioned, The Unborn, The Uncreated, The Changeless, all of which are without doctrine, but you choose instead to attack the pointing finger, never catching a glimpse of the lovely moon. Pity.

Ha. Ha. Ha. Bye.

You best begone before you are found out. Not to worry. I shall keep it our little secret....shhhhh!

But really, just want to say 'thanks' for your help in launching my acting career. I have done such a good job of convincing you that you responded with such emotive power! O, Lord Atanu, should you ever unleash it to its fullest, t'would be as the concentrated fury of a typhoon!

Do you live in a bubble?

So you seem to have some understanding that the mind is conditioned under certain circumstances. Does this at all point to a state of consciousness you could consider to be unconditioned? And if so, what would that be like in contrast to the mind susceptible to seeing ropes as snakes?

Nonsense. All you are pointing to is the size of your ego. Ironically.

Why would you assume such? Are you saying that you are perceptually retarded?

Tell me, then: Who is it that is experiencing duality?
The ignorant, if you go by 'advaita'.

Human mind is always conditioned except for the realized. Unconditioned consciousness of what (human mind, not universal consciousness)? Properties of Brahman, properties of what exists (Universal consciousness), because of which sub-atomic particles/bundles of energy interact is a completely different thing. Do not confuse between the two. A realized human mind will understand (it is not always seen) a rope as a rope and not as a snake.
I don't believe in something from nothing, makes little sense.
That, sir, is an assumption.
The other option (everything has come out of nothing) also is an assumption at the moment. Science has not agreed to it. That is why we should wait for the final word.
If there is no snake in the mind, do you see only the rope?
Ah, you would not see even the rope (since you believe that nothing exists). Perhaps some flashes or sparks of your 'universal consciousness' (like one sees after being hit by a hammer fist). Gognotgod, not even one person agrees with your theory in the topic. You are brave to continue on and on. :)
so where is this so called 'I' that is experiencing it?

This fellow has come down to insulting others who he believes do not exist.

If you, and they, exist only as the fictional characters Brahman is playing, then who is there to insult? Surely Brahman must have a good laugh, never seeing a personal insult, and paying attention to the moon instead.

A non-dual consciousness can see an erroneous view. It does not see a viewer of the view.
A non-dual consciousness sees every thing the viewer as well as the view, but is not fooled by it. It knows both - the Pragmatic (Vyavaharika) as well as the Absolute (Parmarthika). If both are not seen, then it is not realization.

Who are the ignorant, if not Brahman, pretending to ignorance? There is no snake.

Thank you!

Unconditioned consciousness is not part of something else; it is simply Brahman, seeing things as they are.

You seem to subscribe to a higher state of consciousness, as you referred above to 'a realized human mind'. What does such an enlightened mind tell us about the nature of Reality that the conditioned mind does not?

Let's not be silly, Aupmanyav! If you had never seen a snake or learned about snakes ever in your life, of course you would see the rope as a rope, or at least as 'something' undulating in the wind. But you would not jump to the mistaken conclusion that it was a snake. Remember, the rope is just a metaphor for Brahman, whom you do not see when seeing the rope as a snake, 'snake' being a metaphor for The Universe.

When you see the snake, you do not see the rope;
when you see the rope, you do not see a snake.

When you see a changing, material Universe (ie 'maya'), you do not see Brahman;
when you see Brahman, you do not see 'maya'.

What? This is completely idiotic! "Well, it COULDA been a snake!...or a bear...or a lion....so I shot him...and it turned out to be my uncle!....DUH!"
Now, now, Godnotgod. Use better language. No, it is not idiotic. When we see a snake, we just do not faint or fall dead, we look more closely, prod it with a stick, to see if it is really a snake or it is just a rope. We do not kill our uncles.
