If he designed the family unit, why have there been so many different arrangements, types, and set ups of "family?" No one seemed to mind when "family" started to mean parents and children (until they reach adulthood) living under the same roof, when it has been far more common, up until the late 19th/mid 20th century, for a "family unit" to consist of parents, children, grand parents, and often times some cousins, aunts, and uncles (the later of the three do not even qualify as valid FMLA family members to request leave)?
