Would he end up in a mental institution rather than have been executed?
In a world that didnt do either one of those to George Bush, maybe people will worship him all over again.

Would he end up in a mental institution rather than have been executed?
He would probably wind up in Santa Cruz California arguing with all the other Jesuses.Would he end up in a mental institution rather than have been executed?
Bahaollah died at the age of 75, but he was not the messiah. Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was a messiah. He died at the age of 73. Sayyed ʻAlí Muḥammad Shírází aka 'Bab', died young at the age of 31. He is termed as Messiah by Bahais.A Messiah who managed to die of old age. Does not seem a common practice among messiahs.

I think that would depend on whether or not he could perform miraclesWould he end up in a mental institution rather than have been executed?
I think if Jesus showed up today, I would be so happy. I would like to come in his arms. I may ask him lots of questions or may just be content to be with him. I would like to see any animals that may be in heaven. I’m curious what angels look like and how their wings would feel like.
All these different Messiahs out there, too confusing.... I believe I'll just see who shows up at the Gates some day.
Not with our wokey government...I'd just ignore him all over again and hope others did likewise. I don't think he should be locked up, but if he were in Israel preaching his stuff I would hope he'd be deported...
Would you wonder while he didn't show up with a wrath and a mouth-sword as depicted in Revelation?
Couldn't figure how to approach it. My friend lost his sanity "to" that type of place rather than gaining it.
What do Wiccans believe happens when they die?
Well, considering this is a hypothetical where a guy who died 2,000 years ago has returned, I can magic you and others like you into government.......Not with our wokey government...

" I don't know what the earlier Jesus looked like or sounded like. So the first problem is how to identify him. "If Jesus showed up again, how would somebody like me know that he was the same guy that the new testament talks about? I don't know what the earlier Jesus looked like or sounded like. So the first problem is how to identify him.
The mere fact that in my experience dead people don't return constitutes pretty good justification for my thinking that the new guy is not the Jesus of Christian religious myth.
So the new guy would probably come across as another street corner religious prophet. Many (but not all) of these probably do suffer from psychiatric problems.
The first Jesus lived in a very different time and cultural environment. His message made lots of sense in terms of the Judaism of his time, particularly its more apocalyptic variants. Today his message, if delivered the same way, wouldn't have anything like the same cultural resonance.
I'd just ignore him, I guess, unless he was performing miracles that made him impossible to ignore. I'm not sure what I would think then.
From what I've read, the Summerland is seen as neither heaven or hell, when one is there. But it's probably a bit better than Earth, though.
