Christianity begins with yourself - always. Jesus said to first remove the beam

I had one guy tell me today that he gets his science and weather information from the Bible. Please.

I agree with you partly on one thing:
Christianity begins with yourself, but it also ends with yourself.

Native rulers in India would not bother to sign a document with their own hand, they would generally ask for the 'Royal Seal' to be affixed on the document. The 'Seal' had its faithful 'seal-keeper'. Historical method takes all that into account.

Actually, in Revelations it says what you said, "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy,
let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still."

But there's a line here somewhere - if you are a Christian you need to make a stand somewhere in a world where
pornography, gammbling, adultery, drugs, broken homes etc (see below) is normalized. You are not going to stop
where the world is heading, and you aren't to preach against people - but you need to show a standard yourself
and speak the truth.
