That the soul is immortal ? Or that the time we spend here is important ? Or both ?Unedited said:Who says it is?
Because we aren't immortal souls caught in a physical shell. I can't speak for other religions, but that certainly is not the Christian teaching. Those Christians who do believe such are following either Greek philosophy or the dualism of the Gnostics and not the teaching of the early Church. If you're not referring to Christianity at all then there is nothing for me to answer to.orichalcum said:If we are all immortals caught in a physichal shell for just a brief moment of time, why is this world and our time spent in it so imporatnt?
The time spent on this earth is so important because it's the one that will determine which life we will lead afterwards, in the afterlife... our eternal life. We are on this earth mere guests and passengers who come to be tested and then go back to our Creator to be judged. It's up to us, and up to our deeds on this earth that will make us lead either an eternal happy life full of bliss or an eteranl miserable life full of torture and God's wrath.orichalcum said:If we are all immortals caught in a physichal shell for just a brief moment of time, why is this world and our time spent in it so imporatnt?
