I glanced at the Active Topics after I posted to the "Serving Satan" thread and saw NetDoc's "Does it really matter if we came from monkies?" thread and the number of posts were kind of 'identical', just flipped backwards.

694 for serving satan
496 for came from monkies

If the monkies in NetDoc's thread are related to the ones in the Wizard of Oz then they are incahoots with that old crafty meanie, Satan the Devil.

Jesus said there would be instances that were coincidences. But this is ridiculous!

I'm beginning to wonder about that alot lately. Examples like this one and Judas Iscariot just show that there are no coincidences or accidental happenings.

I agree with Maize, collect coins, or baseball cards or something. Keep your time busy, and stop being so paranoid. :)

It was a great illustration of the anthropic princple. You are looking for a pattern where there isn't one. It is important to see that though. If you read my letter under the atheism section titled my resignation I talk about that based on what I read from Michael Shermer Jef Raskin and the link from positive atheism. Because you can find a pattern does not mean a purposeful pattern exists.

I think in hindsight I found a lot of false belief by buying into the meaning via the anthropic principle before I even knew what it is and I think you have a tendancy to do the same thing. Run the anthropic prinple through wikidpedia look at tap (theistic anthropic prinple) and I bet your perception will change over time for the better and the wiser.....

I am glad you made this tread....
