If you had to make a Theoretical religion what would it be? what are the ideals you would include to make it work? And what dose a religion need to run? If I had to make one it would look like this. (Don’t take offence to this please)

1. When you’re happy and times are good your own actions are rewarding you! Remember helping and respecting all others makes good calmer that will make you happier.

2. When times are you are being tested. You must talk to community who will help you through the test and will make you a stronger person when you pass. Stay steadfast and never be afraid to talk, face your fears and your responsibility’s with courage and conviction.

3. Act as much as you can in a respectful to all others and you’re environment.

4. The more good friends you have the wealthier you will be in love and happiness.

5. Treat others as you yourself would like to be treated.

If you had to make a Theoretical religion what would it be?

1. This is the essence of worship: You shall give one-tenth of your income to Francine.

2. And it shall come to pass that a holy priest of Francine shall receive your worship on behalf of Francine, and he shall punch your worship card.

3. If a man's worship card is falsely punched, and it is proven that he did not worship by consulting the Temple books, that man shall be put to death. His blood shall be upon his head.

4. If any man loses his worship card and no audit is pending, behold, there is no guilt; the man's worship card shall be replaced.

5. But if a priest of Francine suspects wrongdoing and requests to examine a man's worship card, and the man claims it is lost, then his guilt shall be assumed; he shall be put to death.

6. Fifty-two punches shall fill the worship card in each worship year. During New Card Week the priests of Francine shall issue new worship cards. New Card Week shall be a time of re-dedication to Francine, and the new year shall be met with fresh hearts.

7. Employers shall forward to the Temple or to the local shrines of Francine information on the wages of every man in their employ.

8. The priests of Francine shall use this information to ensure that each man is worshiping Francine in the correct amount.

9. For Francine knows that men are weak and do not always seek to conform with the will of Francine in all things.

10. That is why the Eyes of Francine must always keep watch. They are the sentries of the priesthood of Francine who keep the Evil One from causing the People to dwindle in unbelief.

I'm not sure I would create a new religion but I would mix science more heavily with Zen and dispel all the myth and mysticism where it exists. The biggest problem with Buddhism is most of the followers don't understand the basic teachings and they cling to the superstition of the past because it is easier than thinking.

Done here.
I still like my idea for the Temple of Molly Ivins.

The Temple of Molly Ivins would have a big screen tv over the bar, and it would show CSPAN most of the time. The jukebox would be filled with classic rock, blues, and country. There would be pool tables, and people would read from Molly's books and columns when they felt like it, but mostly folks would sit around, drink, tell stories, laugh at politicians, and encourage each other to go out and fight for peace, truth and justice.

There would be a big picture of Molly with a box underneath it for donations, and when somebody needed money or knew somebody who did, they could help themselves.

Whenever food was brought in from the adjoining barbecue shack, everybody would raise a toast to Molly. Poor people could come eat barbecue, rice and beans, cole slaw, salad, and iced tea for free.

The ecclesiatical calendar would commemorate people who fought for peace, truth and justice, regardless of religion -- Mohandas Gandhi, Martin and Coretta King, Bertrand Russell, Henry David Thoreau, et al. -- and great artists -- Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Flannery O'Connor, Ludwig von Beethoven, et al.
