By what justification do you assert that certain things have to come along with it?May as well remain an atheist then. One of the things I strongly resent are those who want to have the god-belief, but can't be bothered with what comes along with it.

Why?That there are at least certain expectations that any divine being would have of their devotees, regardless of which one it is.
They are different descriptions of reality. Depending on how a given god concept is described, it may be unable to be differentiated from a human point of view, but that doesn't change the truth of the matter. The god of the Deist and Pantheist is almost like having no god at all, in fact, the god of the Pantheist is actually one's self.

Not for me it isn't.That there are at least certain expectations that any divine being would have of their devotees, regardless of which one it is. The god of the Deist and Pantheist is almost like having no god at all, in fact, the god of the Pantheist is actually one's self.

I would say Pantheism fits better... I don't know of anything that is said to be outside the universe.Yeah but would that be Pantheism or Panentheism? Big difference for similar terms
Hmm.That there are at least certain expectations that any divine being would have of their devotees, regardless of which one it is.
Hmm.
The idea that any divine being would have expectations of human beings is the one that I find bizarre. I just can't get my head around the idea that the grand creator of the universe would take our opinions and beliefs personally, or care about what we do and don't do.
Did I say grand creator of the universe?
What Father Heathen said.Did I say grand creator of the universe?
Would you be able to move from a pantheist or broad vision of God (which I assume you follow) to Roman Catholicism, are they compatible enough in your opinion? It is a question I have wonder about. If I ever decided to go back to monotheism I would need to do a lot more research about the various faiths. Based on your selections I would probably look really close at Gnosticism and Baha'i. Odds are though I would go back to Roman Catholicism. My family is Catholic and I was once Catholic. I would be doing my own thing within it though. I probably would have more Deist viewpoints or even retain my Nature=God belief. I would probably do a lot a research into Celtic Christianity. Even though I left it Catholicism still holds a place in my heart. I knew and know many good-hearted Catholics who are not extreme to a violent level and actually follow Jesus' teachings on love. My Grandmother's side of the family was also very heavy into Mary dedication. I was too before I left.
