I can't place bets, but I do know that I don't recall having any negative interactions whatsoever with the OP, so an ignore (if it were possible) would confuse me more than it would do anything else.

I think it's probably best that you can read their posts so that you don't miss a warning or break a rule without notice.

Same. I occasionally have to ask others how the ignore function works with regard to what can be seen when ignored members post.

I wish the ignore function worked better

When I have someone on ignore I want them completely gone and the ignore system does not deliver this

I've found the 'ignore' function useful to filter out side conversations and arguments that detract from my threads.
There is a 'show ignored' button in the bottom right if I wish to revisit them at a later point.

I pretty much ignore everyone who disagrees with me. That way, I get a strong feeling that the majority agrees with my opinions.

I suppose the other reason to ignore someone would be harassment or the fact that they are an obvious troll. If either of those were the case with a staff member, you might consider filing a complaint about that individual. I've never had any problems like that with any of the staff here, but if I did, I suppose that's the course of action I'd take.

Okay, seriously go to the person's avatar and click on it. In your case your avatar is your nice horsey picture. You will see a menu drop down and on the bottom line just after "follow" there is an "ignore" option.
