I'm an aatheist. I lack belief in atheism.

you'll never understand, will you?

theism DOES exist, as well as carrots.
atheists lack it, as well as apple pies do with carrots.

so, an aatheist is like a carrot without apple pies. just an old regular carrot, after all.

Strange argument, to "lack belief", thats great, but I lack belief in atheism

And I lack belief in aatheism.

It seems you lack belief in a^n-theism, with n odd, while I lack belief in a^n- theism with n even.

'I dont know'

Isnt the same as

'It cant be known'
ag·nos·tic
aɡˈnästik/
noun
  1. 1.
a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God or of anything beyond material phenomena; a person who claims neither faith nor disbelief in God.
As I see it gnosis is about knowledge. As an agnostic I believe nothing can be known about God.

This leads me to atheism. Since IMO nothing can be known about God there is no reason to accept any beliefs about God.

So I don't accept anyone's personal claims about God nor established religious claims about God. I reject them, this makes me an atheist.

My belief that you don't know anything about God, nor anyone else for that matter, makes me agnostic.

An gnostic believes it is possible to have knowledge about God. A theist either makes or accepts certain claims about God.

For example a Christians claims that the Bible is the Word of God. Their acceptance of that claim makes them a theist.

Is agnostic atheist redundant? Maybe, but it provides the reason behind my rejection of claims about God.

I suppose a person could be an atheist for other reasons though.

This idea doesn'tvwork.

It would mean that religious people all had to have belief, and that atheists would all lack belief.

Clearly not the case.

Try again.:)

Theism is a made up word, and therefore is awkward aside from very broad generalization usage, like" religions that have deities"

That is about it.

if by "belief" you mean "belief in the objectivity of non evidence based entities" , actually it's the case.

as for "religious people", i consider myself religious. but we're talking about theism here, not religion.

Actually belief doesn't indicate evidence etc. Belief is also not an objective meaning word, it is subjective.

Tell me the next time your religious group, if theistic, does not allow members to join, because they lack belief.

yes it does. believing consists in asserting that something is true regardless of evidence. theists believe that their god objectively exists no matter what atheists may think.

i have no religious affiliation.
besides this, theism and religion are two separate concepts.
