I'm not saying I'm more sane than your God, but I think the majority of Believers believe in a God that will send people to a lake of fire forever and ever and ever and ever just for not believing in Him. That is sick and wrong! That is thoroughly disgusting and the epitome of cruel and unjust!

One of the Christians here pointed out that I'm in an insane asylum and therefore they would trust the word of God over me. Well, funny, a large percentage of believers believe in a God who is more insane than I am.

I would not torture my worst enemy forever and ever. I wouldn't sentence Satan to such torment. Satan is just being who God made him to be. God knew what Satan would do before he ever made him, so I don't think even Satan deserves eternal suffering. The worst I would do to Satan is put him out of his misery.

That is the worst I would do to anyone. I would never NEVER have anyone tortured forever. I don't care if they raped, humiliated, tortured, and killed my whole family while laughing hysterically at their humiliation and death. People that do that are miserable, blind, depraved, and I pity them. I would never have anyone tortured forever.
I'm more merciful than this God that many people believe in! It's sad! :(

Revelation 20:15
Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

SICK AND WRONG! :(

Shouldn't you be eating cake and ice cream or doing whatever it is that lifts your spirits or you find enjoyable instead of ranting about God again? Go celebrate your Birthday, man.

I clarified that I'm not talking about the God I know or you probably know. The God I know is love, mercy, and compassion.

However, the God that I read about in the Bible isn't the God I know.

My Mom just called to wish me a happy birthday and I got into an argument with her about this God so many people believe in.

His errors and cruelty need to be condemned and pointed out! Besides, I'm not big on celebrating my birthday any more. I ate cake, danced, giggled, made merry, went jogging.

But I'm praying for the grace to love suffering. Saint Dominic used to tell people to pray for the grace to love suffering. I see so much of it and experience it so much, I thoroughly long for that grace.

I can understand why you think the way you do. But by viewing God as a merciless tyrant is blinding your mind . Only belief in Jesus has the necessary power to open the eyes of the blind.

I am sure there is a lot of reasons why Revelations is the most contested book in the bible. It would be the most gruesome movie I'd ever seen if someone portrayed it literally. I'm not all about bible inerrancy or anything but if there were a book thats pure symbolism its Revelations.

Why do the majority of Christians view God that way then...are the unbelievers tossed into the lake of fire or not?

But through eyes opened by the power of Jesus, the words can be, and are understood.

Sounds like you believe God is a cruel tyrant then :)
I do NOT believe that. Your words indicated you believe He is. At the very least you believe God exists. So that is one thing you have going for you. In addition, if God were the vengeful God you portrayed Him as being, He would have left humanity in its state of endless suffering with no way out of their misery. But He provided the only Way for humanity to experience true freedom.

How do you interpret a bloodbath?
"Revelation 14:20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs."

I get more out of praying to a murdered girl than I ever got praying to God.

I'll go with what gives me results.

Sure praying to murdered women isn't in the Bible but no where in the Bible does it say a practice must be in the Bible to be legit. I'll go with what works. :)

My favorite prayers have been the rosary especially while meditating the sorrowful mysteries. Thats some serious contemplating.

edit: but technically thats to Mary

Do you believe that those words came from the mouth of God? If not, you would not understand even if God Himself stood in front of you and explained them. Your mind would be blocked. Your unbelief would cause it to be blocked.

OK, you don't have to say if you don't want to.

Bible states emphatically that 'Jesus said no one comes to the Father but by me'. Nowhere in the Bible does it say to pray to Mary. From where did such a concept come? Only time will sort out the truth from the untruths. I, for one, choose not to veer away from what is Written. And Mary is not in the Written Word as one to be venerated and prayed to. But for those who like the idea, and who receive a form of religious experience from praying to Mary, then do so. That is entirely your choice. But Jesus said, and is worthy of repeating. 'No-one comes to the Father but by me'.
