My sister is paying for me to fly for my brother's services, a week from tomorrow. I haven't seen my sister and my two nieces for quite a while. It is a sad reason to be going, but I am glad I get to say goodbye to my brother.

Christine, let's just be honest - one of the upsides of funerals is that we get to spend time with family members that we otherwise don't see often enough. It's ok to enjoy that aspect of this time, even though the circumstances are painful in some ways.
Colorado Springs is so beautiful. Maybe you will get the opportunity to drive thru the Garden of the Gods. If you've never seen it, you owe it to yourself!
