Salam

In that prayer to God taught by Imam Sajjad (a) for his followers, there is a lot of key concepts, there is this part:

ayna karamuka ya karimu
Where is Your generosity O Generous?

bihi wa bimuhammadin wa ali muhammadin fastanqidhni
by it and by Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, save me!

wa birahmatika fakhallisni
and by Your mercy, deliver me!

ya muhsinu
O All-benevolent!

ya mujmilu
O All-beneficent!

ya mun`imu ya mufdilu
O All-gracious! O All-compassionate!

lastu attakilu fi alnnajati min `iqabika `ala a`malina
In my salvation from Your punishment, I do not rely upon my deeds;

bal bifadlika `alayna
rather, I depend on Your grace

li'annaka ahlu alttaqwa wa ahlu almaghfirati
because You are verily the Lord of righteousness and the Lord of forgiveness.

tubdi'u bil-ihsani ni`aman
You take the initiative in doing good out of Your graciousness

wa ta`fu `an aldhdhanbi karaman
and overlook the sins out of Your generosity.

fama nadri ma nashkuru
We thus do not know which of Your graces we should thank:

ajamila ma tanshuru am qabiha ma tasturu
should it be the handsome elegance that you spread over us, or our offensive deeds that you conceal?

am `azima ma ablayta wa awlayta
Or should it be the fabulous favor that You grant and present,

am kathira ma minhu najjayta wa `afayta
or the numerous misfortunes from which You have saved and relieved?

ya habiba man tahabbaba ilayka
O Beloved of those who endear themselves to Him!

wa ya qurrata `ayni man ladha bika wa inqata`a ilayka
O delight of the eyes of those who resort to Him and cut off (everything else) towards him

anta lmuhsinu wa nahnu almusi'una
You are the good doer and we are the evil doers

fatajawaz ya rabbi `an qabihi ma `indana bijamili ma `indaka
So, overlook, O Lord, the ugly that we hold by means of the beautiful that You hold.

I will be showing many proofs of this, but will start with this.

Now action are important too, but it's because without the actions, our faith is not genuine and our fear of God a lie. It's not the action themselves earn paradise, but rather they come automatic with faith.

It's the faith in God's grace and intercession of Mohammad (s) and his family (a) and God's mercy that will help us commit good actions and build barriers of protection and light towards evil of Satan and his sorcery and so we will be protected from evil by God's grace. There is a lot of Du'as showing this too which I will share.

Of course the one action and deed that saves is faith in God and reliance on him and his rope. When Quran says "because of what they did", it's mainly the good deed of Welayat which includes relying on Mohammad (s) and his family (a) for God's grace and use them as intercession from God.

There is this Du'a: Sahifa Sajjadia-Dua 16 In Asking Release from sins and Seeking Pardon

The part of relevance (although whole thing is on point of this):

faman aj-halu min-nee yaaa ilaahee birush-dihi?
47.So who is more ignorant than I, my God, of his own right conduct?

waman agh-falu min-nee a'n h'az'-z'ihi?
48.Who is more heedless than I of his own good fortune?

waman ab-a'du min-nee mini as-tis'-laahee naf-sihi?
49.Who is further than I from seeking to set himself right?

h'eena unfiqu maaa sj-ray-ta a'lay-ya mir-riz-qika
50.For I spend the provision You deliverest to me

feemaa nahay-tanee a'n-hoo mim-maa'-s'eeatik
51.in the disobedience You hast prohibited to me!

wa man ab-a'du ghaw-ran fil-baat'il wa ashad-du iq-daaman a'laas-sooo-i min-nee?
52.Who sinks more deeply into falsehood and is more intensely audacious in evil than I?

h'eena aqifu bay-na daa'-watika wa daa'-watish-shay-t'aani
53.For I hesitate between Your call and the call of Satan

faat-tabiu' daa'-watahoo a'laa ghay-r a'mam-min-nee fee maa'-rifatim-bih
54.and then follow his call without being blind in my knowledge of him

wa laa nis-yaanim-min h'if-z'ee lah wa ana h'eena-id'im-mooqinum
55.or forgetful in my memory of him, while I am certain

bianna muntahaa daa'-watika ilaal-jan-nah wa muntahaa daa'-watiheee ilaan-naar
56.that Your call takes to the Garden and his call takes to the Fire!

sub-h'aanaka maaa aa'-jaba maaa ash-hadu bihee
57.Glory be to You! How marvellous the witness I bear

a'laa naf-see wa ua'd-diduhoo mim-mak-toomi am-ree?
58.against my own soul and the enumeration of my own hidden affairs!

wa aa'-jabu min d'alika anaatuka a'n-nee
59.And more marvellous than that is Your lack of haste with me,

wa ib-t'aaaw-uka a'm-mua'ajalatee wa lay-sa d'alika
60.Your slowness in attending to me! That is not because I possess

min karamee a'lay-k bal taan-neeam-minka lee
61.honour with You, but because You waitest patiently for me

wa tafaz''-z''ulam-minka a'lay
62.and art bountiful toward me

lian ar-tadia' a'm-maa'-s'eeatika al-mus-khit'ah
63.that I may refrain from disobedience displeasing to You

wa uq-lia' a'n say-yi-aateel-mukh-liqah
64.and abstain from evil deeds that disgrace me,

wa lian-na a'f-waka a'n-neee ah'ab-bu ilay-ka min u'qoobatee
65.and because You lovest to pardon me more than to punish!

bal ana yaaa ilaahee ak'tha-ru d'unoobaa
66.But I, my God, am more numerous in sins,

wa aq-bahoo aaathaaraa wa ash-nau' af-a'alaa
67.uglier in footsteps, more repulsive in acts,

wa ashad-du fil-baat'ili tahaw-wuraa
68.more reckless in rushing into falsehood,

wa az''-a'fu i'nda t'aaa'tika tayaq-quz'aa
69.weaker in awakening to Your obedience,

wa aqal-lu liwae'edika antibaahaw war-tiqaabaa
70.and less attentive and heedful toward Your threats,

min an uh'-s'eea laka u'yoobee
71.than that I could number for You my faults

aw aq-dira a'laa d'ik-ri d'unoobee
72.or have the power to recount my sins.

wa in-namaaa uwab-bikhu bihad'aa naf-see t'amaa'na fee raa-fatik
73.I only scold my own soul, craving Your gentleness,

al-latee bihaa s'alaahoo am-ril-mud'-nibeen
74.through which the affairs of sinners are set right,

wa rajaaa-al-lirah'-matikal-latee bihaa fakaaku riqaabil-khaat'i-een
75.and hoping for Your mercy, through which the necks of the offenders are freed.

al-laahum-ma wahad'ihee raqabatee qad araq-qat-haad'-d'unoob
76.O God, this is my neck, enslaved by sins,

fas'al-li a'laa muh'am-madiw-wa aaalihee wa aa'-tiq-haa bia'f-wik
77.so bless Muhammad and his Household and release it through Your pardon!

wa had'aa z'ah-ree qad ath-qalat-hul-khat'aayaa
78.This is my back, weighed down by offenses,

fas'al-li a'laa muh'am-madiw-wa aaalihee wa khaf-fif a'n-hoo biman-nik
79.so bless Muhammad and his Household and lighten it through Your kindness!

yaaa ilaahee law bakay-tu ilay-ka h'at-taa tas-qut'a ash-faaru a'y-nay
80.My God, were I to weep to You until my eyelids drop off,

wantah'ab-tu h'at-taa yanqat'ia' s'aw-tee
81.wail until my voice wears out,

wa qum-tu laka h'at-taa tatanash-shara qadamaay
82.stand before You until my feet swell up,

wa rakaa'-tu laka h'at-taa yan-khalia' s'ul-bee
83.bow to You until my backbone is thrown out of joint,

wa sajat-tu laka h'at-taa tatafaq-qaa h'adaqataay
84.prostrate to You until my eyeballs fall out,

wa akal-tu turaabal-ar-z''i t'oola u'm-ree
85.eat the dirt of the earth for my whole life,

wa sharib-tu maaa-ar-ramaadi aaakhira dah-ree
86.drink the water of ashes till the end of my days,

87.mention You through all of that until my tongue fails,

thum-ma lam ar-faa' t'ar-feee ilaaa aaafaaqis-samaaa-i as-tih'-yaaa-am-minka
88.and not lift my glance to the sky's horizons in shame before You,

mas-taw-jab-tu bid'alika mah'-wa say-yi-atiw-waah'idatim-min say-yi-aatee
89.yet would I not merit through all of that the erasing of a single one of my evil deeds!

wa in kunt tagh-firu lee h'eena as-taw-jibu magh-firatak
90.Though You forgivest me when I merit Your forgiveness

wa taa'-foo a'n-nee h'eena as-tah'iq-qu a'f-wak
91.and pardonest me when I deserve Your pardon,

fa in-na d'alika ghay-ru waajibil-lee bis-tih'-qaaqiw
92.yet I have no title to that through what I deserve,

wa laaa ana ah-lul-lahoo bis-teejaab
93.nor am I worthy of it through merit,

إذْ كَـانَ جَزَائِي مِنْكَ فِي أَوَّلِ مَا عَصَيْتُكَ النَّارَ;
id' kaana jazaaa-ee minka feee aw-wali maa a's'ay-tukan-naar
94.since my repayment from You from the first that I disobeyed You is the Fire!

fa in tua'd'-d'ib-nee fa anta ghay-ru z'aalimil-lee
95.So if You punishest me, You dost me no wrong.

The above prayer continues and ends:

ilaahee faad' qad-tagham-mat-tanee bisit-rika falam taf-z''ah'-nee
96.My God, since You hast shielded me with Your covering and not exposed me,

wa taan-nay-tanee bkaramika falam tua'ajil-nee
97.waited patiently for me through Your generosity, and not hurried me to punishment,

wa h'alum-ta a'n-nee bitafaz''-z''ulika falam tughay-yir nia'-mataka a'lay-ya
98.and shown me clemency through Your bounty, and not changed Your favour upon me

wa lam tukad-dir maa'-roofaka i'ndee
99.or muddied Your kindly acts toward me,

far-h'am t'oola taz''ar-rue'e wa shid-data mas-kanatee wa sooo-a maw-qifee
100.have mercy on my drawn out pleading, my intense misery, and my evil situation!

al-laahum-ma s'al-li a'laa muh'am-madiw-wa aaalih
101.O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,

wa qinee minal-maa'as'ee was-taa'-mil-nee bit'-t'aaa'h
102.protect me from acts of disobedience, employ me in obedience,

war-zuq-nee h'us-nal-inaabah wa t'ah-hir-nee bit-taw-bah
103.provide me with excellent turning back [to You], purify me through repentance,

wa ay-yid-nee bil-i's'-mah was-tas'-lih'-nee bil-a'afeeah
104.strengthen me through preservation from sin, set me right through well being,

wa ad'iq-nee h'alaawatal-magh-firah
105.let me taste the sweetness of forgiveness,

waj-a'l-nee t'aleeqa a'f-wika wa a'teeqa rah'-matik
106.make me the freedman of Your pardon and the slave released by Your mercy,

wak-tub leee amaanam-min sakhat'ik
107.and write for me a security from Your displeasure!

wa bash-shir-nee bid'alika fil-a'ajili doonal-aaajili bush-raaa aa'-rifuhaa
108.Give me the good news of that in the immediate, not the deferred - a good news I recognize -

wa a'r-rif-nee feehee a'laamatan atabay-yanuhaa
109.and make known to me therein a sign which I may clearly see!

in-na d'alik laa yaz''eequ a'lay-ka fee wus-i'k
110.That will not constrain You in Your plenty,

wa laa yatakaa-aduka fee qud-ratik
111.distress You in Your power,

wa laa yatas'aa'-a'duka feee anaatik
112.ascend beyond Your lack of haste,

wa laa yaw-uduka fee jazeeli hibaatikal-latee dal-lat a'lay-haaa aaayaatuk
113.or tire You in Your great gifts, which are pointed to by Your signs.

in-naka taf-a'lu maa tashaaa- wa tah'-kumu maa tureed
114.Verily You dost what You wilt, You decreest what You desirest.

in-naka a'laa kul-li shay-in qadeer
115."Thou art powerful over everything". (3:26)

There is also a link of God's grace with the leader of time and his intercession, this from the end of Du'a Nudba:

wa sil allahumma baynana wa baynahu
establish, O Allah, between him and us
wuslatan tu'addi ila murafaqati salafihi
a connection that leads us to accompany his ancestors,
waj`alna mimman ya'khudhu bihujzatihim
include us with those who will take their vengeance
wa yamkuthu fi zillihim
and keep constant under their shadow,
wa a`inna `ala ta'diyati huquqihi ilayhi
help us fulfill our duties towards him,
walijtihadi fi ta`atihi
exert all efforts in obedience to him
wajtinabi ma`siyatihi
and avoiding disobeying him,
wamnun `alayna biridahu
bestow upon us with the favor of attaining his pleasure,
wa hab lana ra'fatahu wa rahmatahu
and grant us his kindness, mercy,
wa du`a'ahu wa khayrahu
prayer (for us), and his goodness
ma nanalu bihi sa`atan min rahmatika
in an amount due to which we will gain a good deal of Your mercy
wa fawzan `indaka
and achievement with You.
waj`al salatana bihi maqbulatan
And, through him, render our prayers admitted,
wa dhunubana bihi maghfuratan
our sins through him forgiven,
wa du`a'ana bihi mustajaban
and our supplications through him responded.
waj`al arzaqana bihi mabsutatan
And, through him make our sustenance expanded for us,
wa humumana bihi makfiyyatan
our distresses through him relieved,
wa hawa'ijana bihi maqdiyyatan
and our needs through him granted.
wa aqbil ilayna biwajhika alkarimi
And (please) receive us with Your Noble Face,
waqbal taqarrubana ilayka
approve of our seeking nearness to You,
wanzur ilayna nazratan rahimatan
and have a merciful look at us
nastakmilu biha alkaramata `indaka
by which we will win perfect honor with You;
thumma la tasrifha `anna bijudika
and, after that, do not ever take it away from us, in the name of Your magnanimity,
wasqina min hawdi jaddihi
and give us a drink from the Pond of his grandfather,
salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi
may Allah bless him and his Household,
bika'sihi wa biyadihi
from his own cup and with his own hand,
rayyan rawiyyan
such a replete, satiating,
hani'an sa'ighan
pleasant, and wholesome drink
la zama'a ba`dahu
after which we shall never suffer from thirst.
ya arhama alrrahimina
O most merciful of all those who show mercy!

The above is similar to how Jesus (a) talked about himself giving such a drink as the way to salvation in the Gospels.

Muffled

Jesus in me
However what kind of grace is it that lacks the Paraclete. I believe it is more of a hope than the guarantee that comes with having Jesus as Lord and Savior.

The idea that God is a God of mercy, grace, and forgiveness permeates the Tanakh. Yet there is no concept there that God's ruach is a separate entity.

I believe I agree that the third member of the Trinity is not a separate entity. The significance is where God abides. As the Paraclete, He abides connected to believers. He is not connected to unbelievers.

Which is fine, I have no problem with you believing that. But it means you are not Trinitarian. I sounds more like you are a modalist, aka Sabellian.

IndigoChild5559

Loving God and my neighbor as myself.
I believe I am a modalist but Sabellius used a metaphor that does not correctly explain the Trinity so I suppose I am not a Sabellian.
The terms Modalism and Sabellianism are interchangeable synonyms. However, it is extremely common for a person to identify with a particular group or ideology, and still take issue with this or that.

Out of curiosity, which Sabellian metaphor do you find inaccurate?

In that prayer to God taught by Imam Sajjad (a) for his followers, there is a lot of key concepts, there is this part:

ayna karamuka ya karimu
Where is Your generosity O Generous?

bihi wa bimuhammadin wa ali muhammadin fastanqidhni
by it and by Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, save me!

wa birahmatika fakhallisni
and by Your mercy, deliver me!

ya muhsinu
O All-benevolent!

ya mujmilu
O All-beneficent!

ya mun`imu ya mufdilu
O All-gracious! O All-compassionate!

lastu attakilu fi alnnajati min `iqabika `ala a`malina
In my salvation from Your punishment, I do not rely upon my deeds;

bal bifadlika `alayna
rather, I depend on Your grace

li'annaka ahlu alttaqwa wa ahlu almaghfirati
because You are verily the Lord of righteousness and the Lord of forgiveness.

tubdi'u bil-ihsani ni`aman

James 2:14-23

14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

It's the same in the Holy Scriptures/Bible with Faith Being Dead Without Works. Faith is Demonstrated by Works/Deeds to Elohim/God. The Grace of Elohim/God Enables the Works/Deeds. False Christians have learnt and teach the Contrary.

I believe the metaphor that God is like a man playing different characters in a play. The problem is there is only one individual human character in the Trinity. The Father has no human form at all. So God as the Father has the role of being everywhere but not in human form, the Son is in the role of God in human forms, the Paraclete has the role of shareing human form with millions of people.
