Hallel-Yaffa Ariel, 13, went to sleep last night in her bed. In her bedroom. In her house.
During the night, a 17 (some sources say 19) year old climbed over a security fence, broke in to her house and stabbed her repeatedly in the neck. She had not oppressed anyone. She had not done anything wrong.
She was 13 and was sleeping.
For how long will we remember her name and her story before we start to rationalize this act of terror? How long will it take for someone to make excuses for this bit of cowardice?
