In memory of Prince. Do you have a favorite song and why?

Party Like its 1999 was a bar scene regular in the 80's when I was young and partying especially on New Years eve where we always partied like it was the year. I still remember the 1999 party that was going to end all parties. 2000 the world was going to blow up because of the 00. Prince and 1999 saved the partying and the day.

Thanks Prince you will always be a part of my life.

I am so sad he died, because I'll have to listen to his crappy version of pop for the next two weeks on every radio station around here. Too bad he sucked so hard or maybe he'd have a good song. On the bright side, Minneapolis is slightly less repugnant.

One of the very few bright spots in the spastic music scene of the 1980's. Most of his stuff posted on youtube has been muted, and his music on Spotify was taken down before he even died.
I found "Thieves in the Temple" on vimeo, and an Arsenio Hall show where Prince and his band played some really great tunes, which was a welcome find. The local station has been playing obscure Prince tunes since the news came out.

Darn. And i was just listening to Purple Rain the other day.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I've always liked raspberry beret.

Boys and girls was an awesome song. First heard it when I saw his movie, "Under the Cherry Moon".

Not only a great singer and showman but a great and talented actor as well.

Prince will be missed for sure.

Not his song but his part in this live performance completely steals the show.

He was a true showman.
