I was shocked when I first leaned how much water it takes to grow a nut. On a per nut measure it takes a gallon of water to grow an almond Or perhaps even three. I have seen both the figures of 1.1 gallons and 3.2 gallons of water per almond given:

I eat a lot of fish, chicken, turkey, etc.
Though I have been trying out the vegetarian beef products.
