I was just wondering what songs people have been inspired by. Whether the song touched you deeply, made you feel better inside, or whether it delievered to you a special and meaningful message or for anyother reasons that you find it inspirational.
For me The Beatle's song "Let It Be" really calmed my nerves. I was just out of high school and preparing for college and it became pretty stressful for me,all the what ifs and new changes, when one day "Let It Be" played on the radio and all of a sudden I felt at complete ease and so its inspirational to me and now I play it whenever I ever I feel down and stressed. so um what about the rest of you?

Tu Pac's "Changes"

I don't usually listen to rap, but this song touched me as it helped me look at the poverty, gang, drug, violence issues from a different point-of-view.

i love the song "the rising" by bruce springsteen. always makes me tear up and feel suddenly grateful to be alive.

there are also ::alot:: of old hymns that i love. "be thou my vision", "the king of love my saviour is", and "thine is the glory" always move me.

One from Canada I've kept in my heart.

Standing in line at the grocery store, reading magazines that say I should want more
And old boyfriend looks my may, I can't help but smile, I feel great today
Last nights clothes, no make-up, drinking my coffee from a paper cup

If this is it for me, baby, that's just fine - I'm not looking anymore
For what will make me happy baby, that's just fine, I'm not looking anymore

So many places I'll never see, but here and now is where I'd rather be
Too many people searching so hard but they never look right in their backyard
I've made mistakes, that's for sure, but ain't that what your life is for

If this is it for me, baby, that's just fine - I'm not looking anymore
For what will make me happy baby, that's just fine, I'm not looking anymore

More clothes, more cash, more things, more rings
These lines upon my face I'd be a fool to erase because they show my place in this world

If this is it for me, baby, that's just fine - I'm not looking anymore
For what will make me happy baby, that's just fine, I'm not looking anymore
