instrumental rock

blackout

Violet.
I'm looking for (primarily) instrumental rock jams
or instrumental poetry.
(preferably somewhat well known)

Already have Europa- Santana
Great Gig in the Sky- Pink Floyd
Pagan Streams-Van Morrison
Ghost Song- The Doors

I KNOW there is an instrumental Rock Jam at the tip of my mind.
High energy... organ , guitars...
VERY well known.

Can anyone help me out?

Jeff Beck just came to mind.
Maybe something there.
(though he's not the one at the tip of my mind...)

Thanks. :rainbow1:

You seriously need to get into post-rock by the sound of it.

Try Explosions in the sky - The earth is not a cold dead place / Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever etc
and the likes of
Laura - Radio Swan is down / Mapping your dreams
God is an Astronaut
This will destroy you
Mono (Japan)
Mogwai
Godspeed you black emperor! (canada) - fantastic band!

In fact if you are interested, I can pm you a track or 2 that I could recommend (with a view of buying albums of course :) ) - drop me a pm

Pink Floyd - Echoes (side two of Meddle, a half hour of bliss).
Led Zeppelin - Achilles Last Stand (lost gem from Presence)
Def Leppard - Switch 625 (from High & Dry, wow)

Thanks all for the leads (pun?)
Checked out a number of them already on itunes.

It may not be beneficial for me to tell you
I'm looking for material to play out myself.
Me, my microphone and my digital piano/keyboard(s).

I didn't say so because then anything with heavy guitar etc
you'll think I don't want, and that's not true.
I'm VERY good at reducing music to keyboards/voice.

I am however looking for music AT THE MOMENT
that is somewhat well known.
Something most/many people recognize when they hear it.

The Classic Rock one I can't think of is keeping me up nights.

Come on everyone...
think ....
"Classic Rock Instrumental... Classic Rock Instrumental"
"well known... well known..."

I KNOW that SOMEONE here can come through for me.;)

Can't brain. Has dumb.
Ok, try lots of Pink Floyd.

Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast is a long, (but good) instrumental. Not everyone will recognise it though. It's from the album "Atom Heart Mother".

You might be able to do something really neat with Peter Frampton's "Do You Feel Like I Do"
